@SenMarkKelly Why do only people using ACA get tax credits? Those rates in the picture are actually better than most of us pay with an employer. Actually they are getting a bargain.

It's time for Republicans to come to the table and work with us to lower the cost of health care. If we don't extend ACA tax credits, a lot of Arizonans are going to have to have to make sacrifices in order to pay for this kind of increase.

This is why I have quit watching @nascar for the most part. I wanted to see history today though and didn’t. Feel gutted for @dennyhamlin

For those wondering what the shutdown debate is about, this is it: For a family of four in Arizona making $82k a year, their premiums will increase over 300% next year. This is going to hurt so many across the state.

It takes 51 senators to steamroll the filibuster and end the shutdown. That’s it. There are 53 republicans in the senate Anyone blaming the democrats for this is lying. The White House is banking the stupidity of the MAGA vote

Let us be clear, letting 42 million Americans go without food this weekend—half of whom are children—is WRONG and a CHOICE. In 2 days, Donald Trump will cut off SNAP benefits for more than 3 million New Yorkers. Not because @USDA doesn't have the money, but because he thinks starving people helps him politically. @RepRileyNY and I led a letter demanding that Trump reverse course and fund SNAP now.

I’ve known @JohnThune for 25 years. He is one of the nicest, calmest, most decent people ever to serve in the Senate. If he is upset or emotional, pay attention — it’s real. @FinneyK was wrong to accuse him of performance on the Senate floor. It’s not true, but I was wrong to interrupt her. I apologized to her on the air and I apologize to her again now. Enough with the dehumanization and delegitimization.  We need to treat people with dignity and respect, regardless of party or ideology. The Constitution and the country are too important to play petty political games.

@TheMaineWonk So you want a majority to have free reign to pass anything they want. I like the 60 vote rule. You can't just turn off the filibuster after you get rid of it. Have to wait for the Session of the Senate.

Emmy worthy performance by Thune. But it’s all for show. Thune can pass the CR with 51 votes at anytime, by nuking the filibuster. There are 53 Republicans in the Senate.

Being a @AuburnFootball fan has been tough over the last few years but I’ve lost hope in the program. You can’t rebuild every 3 years and hope to be successful in the long run. But can’t continue down this road either

@jeff_gluck AppleTV is too expensive for what is. I wouldn’t buy it just for F1. I buy it for a month and watch their shows and cancel it for the rest of the year

This seems like one of the biggest possible missteps F1 can make right now. They had a chance to continue with ESPN for less money and instead took the bigger payday (with promised Apple promotion) to put every race behind a paywall. Luke writes F1 “believes this move can help it gain more popularity and compete with mainstream American sports.” Good luck with that. Whatever the difference financially between leaving ESPN and going to Apple TV is not worth the injection into the mainstream consciousness ESPN provides. They’re taking a gamble Apple can give them a similar push, but that’s a huge risk. This is the path to making your sport more niche, not growing it — and F1’s growth has been largely built on the casuals. Maybe this is NASCAR PTSD speaking, but I can’t see how this goes well.
