@IndiraFeustel @TheCatholicEngr @Space_Station It matters. My girlfriend sent video of the live feed from Thailand where she and other Thais were watching. Thailand has applied to take part in future missions.

I figured out why the Artemis stream felt so different It's because for the first time in decades, we collectively witnessed something that was untouched by politics, celebrities and influencers

Today the Artemis ll Orion will use a parachute recovery system to help land in the Pacific Ocean. A SHOUT OUT TO MY DAD who, I’m sure is looking down from heaven. This is a picture of the patent, he received in 1950.

Fun Fact, if Jeremy (as a Canadian) doesn’t get one serving of Maple Syrup a week he may get Maple Syrup Deficiency Syndrome and fall ill. It’s sadly something all Canadians are afflicted with.

After her 7th bout with cancer, my mom passed away peacefully this morning. She was surrounded by family and I held her hand at the end. She taught me to love life, and to fight for justice. To eat a meal with my mom meant to savor every morsel. It was never just a chocolate croissant. It was THE BEST chocolate croissant she had ever eaten. And it needed to be warmed to the perfect temperature so that the chocolate was a little bit melty. We could not go see a movie or a play without mom psycho-analyzing every character defect and insecurity. She also did that with all of the women I dated (expect for my wife Reena who is a perfect angel). Her humor was wicked and irreverent. Later in life mom developed a deep conscience and commitment to social justice. She marched for Civil Rights and helped register voters in the Mississippi Freedom Summer. In college, she put her body on the line to protest the Vietnam War. As an adult, her activism turned to academics. She taught social work at Smith College and wrote the definitive text on psychodynamic theory. Her book is taught in almost every social work school in the country. My mom loved to mentor young people. Everywhere I go, former students come up and tell me how much she meant to them. I became a teacher and a public servant to follow in her footsteps. Watching my mom lose her physical prowess has been painful. These last few months of disappointing diagnoses and worsening symptoms have been draining. A woman who jogged ten miles per day could barely walk a few blocks. The world will be less bright and brilliant without her in it. But mom, I am so incredibly proud and grateful for the life you gave me. You’ve earned your rest. We love you.
