@vincent1701 @Astro_Feustel @DrPhiltill All astronauts go through photography training and these astronauts were taught specifically how and when to capture those photos.

Great interview with Astronaut Glover on moon photography training. It's interesting how his view of the moon changed. Did you have a part in this @Astro_Feustel @IndiraFeustel? Cool video, hope his training helps your research @DrPhiltill.

The Artemis II team did photography training and dry runs for moon pass-by with an inflatable moon. Victor Glover said these practice runs completely changed how he understood importance of the mission. Christina Koch wanted to “tell a story” and share the “awe and grandeur.”

@IndiraFeustel @TheCatholicEngr @Space_Station It matters. My girlfriend sent video of the live feed from Thailand where she and other Thais were watching. Thailand has applied to take part in future missions.
English

@RichardJSunkle @TheCatholicEngr Exactly. There are still astronauts in space on the @Space_Station that the kids can follow. #STEM ❤️🚀
English

@TheCatholicEngr My wish is that people will seek out science and astronomy television and watch it with their kids. There is actually quite a bit available

Distracting ourselves while we wait for #Artemisll splashdown. Can't wait to have our friends back home safely. Thinking of the families, always. #SpaceFamily

@RyanTScott @bunsenbernerbmd Thanks to @Astro_Jeremy, I was having #MapleCreme cookie cravings. Thank you to @hyattcentric (#Montreal) for the treat. @astro_feustel & I enjoyed them. ❤️🍁😋

English

@IndiraFeustel @bunsenbernerbmd I believe I heard maple cookies was the snack they had right as they went to the far side of the moon too 😊

Please let @Astro_Feustel know that he helped picked the right crew for this mission. I never doubted, but it's great seeing professionals and a work family be as one. @IndiraFeustel

@Zeke_Cohen My deepest condolences, Zeke. Your mom's beautiful soul lives on in your family. May her memory be a blessing.

After her 7th bout with cancer, my mom passed away peacefully this morning. She was surrounded by family and I held her hand at the end. She taught me to love life, and to fight for justice.
To eat a meal with my mom meant to savor every morsel. It was never just a chocolate croissant. It was THE BEST chocolate croissant she had ever eaten. And it needed to be warmed to the perfect temperature so that the chocolate was a little bit melty. We could not go see a movie or a play without mom psycho-analyzing every character defect and insecurity. She also did that with all of the women I dated (expect for my wife Reena who is a perfect angel). Her humor was wicked and irreverent.
Later in life mom developed a deep conscience and commitment to social justice. She marched for Civil Rights and helped register voters in the Mississippi Freedom Summer. In college, she put her body on the line to protest the Vietnam War. As an adult, her activism turned to academics. She taught social work at Smith College and wrote the definitive text on psychodynamic theory. Her book is taught in almost every social work school in the country. My mom loved to mentor young people. Everywhere I go, former students come up and tell me how much she meant to them. I became a teacher and a public servant to follow in her footsteps.
Watching my mom lose her physical prowess has been painful. These last few months of disappointing diagnoses and worsening symptoms have been draining. A woman who jogged ten miles per day could barely walk a few blocks. The world will be less bright and brilliant without her in it. But mom, I am so incredibly proud and grateful for the life you gave me. You’ve earned your rest. We love you.
