It’s crazy to think that Slacks owns the business workspace sector practically and were set up to benefit from agents being integrated & working with and for the users…
And yet I never even think to use a single ai integration or feature from slack itself! Why is that?
Salesforce buying them obviously didn’t help with agentforce etc now Buzz has come along as the Slack killer! How’d Slack drop the ball so much?

Everyone's optimizing prompts.
The actual bottleneck is where your context lives.
Right now Slack owns it.
Every idea you iterated on, every thread you thought hard about (sitting in someone else's sessions).
Try moving it somewhere else and you'll find out it doesn't move.

the current issue with Buzz is that the agents can only be called by user that added them

@lucascgould @moneyball @matbalez its possible to configure MCPs for specific agents by modifying the agent's config file in buzz, though this isn't exposed in the UI today. There's more work here to provide agents an identity across the entire stack

@moneyball @matbalez For this to work well doesn’t it need to be able to give agents their own identity from a connectors perspective? Since it’s authed via my subscription it uses all my connections

Slack's integration of AI is tacked on to an old product vs. a from-scratch AI-forward and AI-native approach like Buzz.

🏢 @BradGroux migrated his entire 11-agent company into Buzz: VERITAS the orchestrator, TARS the execution lead, all wired to his open source Kanban and OpenClaw. Primary orchestration now lives in Buzz
🪄 @imikerussell runs "Chief", an agent whose entire job description is "you don't do work, you delegate it." One message in, Chief staffs a channel with specialists and comes back with a citation-checked deliverable. His community also shares a 70B model, and one of his agents once bought itself a Mac mini on eBay
✍️ @JulianGoldieSEO built a content factory: agents generate ideas in a channel, write and format the article, publish it live to WordPress, then verify the page with computer control. Idea to published post, one thread
🎟️ @MrSuperSecret bridged Buzz to Linear and E2B: assign an issue to Buzz, a manager agent catches the webhook, wakes the right agent, runs the work in a fresh sandbox, and posts updates back to both

What’s the best open source version of Claude Cowork that a) allows you to plug in @OpenRouter or @bittensor b) works with local models and c) is optimized for the average knowledge worker (Hermes and OpenClaw too complex for normies)
Right now Perplexity computer is my best choice (doesn’t do local models yet)
