Extremely excited to announce that I’ve joined @UnsupervisedCap to invest alongside @Old_Samster and @bloomberg_seth in what I believe is the most meaningful movement in decentralized technology. In hindsight, becoming a believer was inevitable. At the heart of the Bittensor thesis is the idea that crypto is, and has always been, a highly optimized global coordination engine. That idea is what originally drew me into the crypto industry, and the one that has kept me here for the past five years. Bitcoin proved the idea works for running cryptographic algorithms. Bittensor extends it to any objective with a reliable reward function. My long term conviction is that Bittensor will coordinate intelligence on an unimaginable scale, fueling a virtuous cycle that pulls immense amounts of capital and talent into our industry while erasing years of reputational damage done by opportunistic actors who were never aligned with the foundational ideology crypto was built on. After my time at Messari came to a close, I found myself wondering what was next. Fortunately, a few incredible opportunities found their way to me. Each offered a unique path, and I genuinely did not know which one was right. After countless conversations, I realized I was asking the wrong question. Instead of asking “what job do I want?” I needed to ask: “what problem do I want to spend my time on?” For me, that problem is this: How do we ensure humanity preserves its values in a world increasingly shaped by AI? We are in the fastest technology expansion in modern history. Companies like Palantir, Snowflake, and Databricks spent more than a decade building category-defining software businesses with thousands of employees and billions in revenue. Today, AI companies are reaching similar scale in a fraction of the time. Anthropic reportedly added the equivalent of their combined ARR in roughly a month. Cursor became one of the fastest-growing software companies ever, and SpaceX is tracking toward one of the largest private-company outcomes in history. That acceleration is exciting, but it also raises an important question: who controls the infrastructure shaping the next phase of humanity? Most of today’s AI systems are being built as closed platforms. As these models become more powerful and integrated into daily life, the stakes around transparency, ownership, and privacy grow dramatically. We have all consumed enough sci-fi to understand how quickly things can move in the wrong direction when technology is concentrated in too few hands, and we’ve already lived through enough financial blowups and abuses of personal data to understand the risks that come from centralization and opaque corporate interests. The more I thought about where the world is heading, the more convinced I became that open infrastructure will be one of the defining challenges of the next decade. That’s why I’ve decided to join @NEARProtocol. In my view, NEAR is one of the first big players deeply focused on building the open infrastructure layer for the AI-powered world. Infrastructure designed to give users more ownership, privacy, and control. I’m excited to help tell that story. The first piece of that puzzle is Authorship. More below :)

New chapter. I'm joining @winklevosscap and moving soon to NYC to back those building at the frontier, whether energy, crypto, space, or defense. I'll be working closely with their portfolio companies, including @cypherpunk. The West needs to win technologically, and it's critical we defend the freedoms that make innovation possible in the first place. @cameron and @tyler were among the first to foresee the rise of social networks, Bitcoin, and now Zcash. Grateful to have the opportunity to work under their leadership, as well as @will__mcevoy's. Leaving Montreal after four years of studying math and physics will be bittersweet, but it's time to put that foundation to work, and I plan to spend most of my free time doing research in quantum mechanics. Will miss my time @sablier. Thank you to @paulrberg for betting on me early on. Will forever be thankful. He remains one of the brightest multidisciplinary thinkers I've ever met, and a close friend. We shall always be at the beginning of infinity. Onwards.
