Let me just leave this by saying, lando DID NOT cry on radio asking position back or team orders even ONCE in 2025 despite having mechanical dnf. We need to clear his name, there was only 1 McLaren driver who did this all season and you can see him on my pfp.

@trumpetgod3 @J0Behnke Better overtake catalog are you serious? Oscar had some of the best overtakes of the season. Hamilton in Australia, Hamilton in Saudi, max in Miami, Lando at Spa, Leclerc at Monza Lando might be faster on pace sometimes, but there is little doubt Oscar is a better racer

@J0Behnke he just hasn't though - in 2024, you could argue it in 2025 every time he stepped to lando he lost and lando had a better overtake catalog overall

his reasoning for piastri over norris brw is "piastri is better W2W, which will help him fight for podiums" btw, here's their three fights with one another. Lando won all three. a overtake where verstappen slid off the track doesn't make him better W2W.

@TechnicalStoner @formula__fuck @F6577Mb He wasn’t beaten on track. Lando was given the better strategy because it gave him track position on a track where it’s incredibly difficult to overtake. All because he was horrendous at the start

@formula__fuck @F6577Mb Imola had nothing to do with managing tyres. Oscar was pitted into traffic at a track which is notoriously difficult to overtake. Hungary is the second worst track on the calendar for overtaking. You don’t give up track position in those circumstances

@JBarbin10 @F6577Mb just manage your tyres better (imola), try and overtaken on fresher & the optimal strat (hungary) vegas & qatar i’ll give you but you can’t compare driver error which is imola & hungary to races like zandvoort + vegas where lando couldn’t do anything

@formula__fuck @F6577Mb That’s actually incorrect. Both drivers have lost 29 points due to McLarens screw ups. Lando lost 3 at Qatar (he wasn’t passing max), 18x2 (zand/vegas) but gained 10 points due Oscar being screwed. Oscar lost 3 at Imola, 7 Hungary, 7 Qatar, 12 Vegas. Both at 29 points lost

@F6577Mb i’m sorry but the team did not cause him to lose 109 points to max in nine races and factually landos lost more points due to mclarens incompetence then oscar

@EdgarMed @Mastropetre_24 Are you kidding? The ‘basic’ move was made on one of the highest speed sections of Jeddah. One wrong move from either of them and it’s a big crash. Not to mention it came at a crucial point in the race and it basically won him the race. Not even his best move for the year

very politely, you need to re-read what was the conditions: "to fight for a world title, in year 3 is unprecendented", In that matter, what I said is correct: - Hill lost by one point in his second year, last race - Raikonen second in his year 3, by 2 points - Vettel, second in full second year, or third year total, and champion in third full year or fourth total so that's roughly 5, again not counting Schumacher, even Alonso was year 4 ... In the matter of becoming champion, you are correct. but that's different

Mark Webber spoke about Oscar and the championship before the Sprint race and Qualifying on Saturday: "Well of course it's a journey for him. An incredible journey so early in his career, to fight for a world title, in year 3 is pretty unprecedented. I think it was Lewis, there hasn't been many people who have done this so early in their career so naturally that's in the equation of course. To understand the boundaries of how that can look for him, without putting too much pressure on the situation. [...] Bit of everything, arm round him , bit of encouragement here and there"

@cosmael @oscarsslando This is just blatantly incorrect. Hill won his fourth year, raikkonen his sixth, Vettel his third full year but had 8 race starts in 2006 so same as Schumacher. Villeneuve and Hamilton are the only ones who won within three years of their first start

@F1Tami This is so disingenuous. Oscar has literally come out of the pits on cold tyres and he wouldn’t have had any solid grip at that point. Not even the Golden Boy would’ve avoided contact there

@peeker120 @pinkolive81 You know everyone keeps saying he’s close to doing this and that but he’s hasn’t actually crashed into anyone this season. Maybe, just maybe he’s a really good driver with great control of his car. Credit where it’s due never hurts

@oscarsslando This is still a deficiency in his game. He can't give feedback to the pit wall on what he wants and needs, and the guy on the other side can. Austria, Hungary, here, etc.. And then when you guys cry strategy when Lando calls his own shot and gets it right.

@Objective_Piece @Ad8yasPriv @F1Clapped His racecraft against Max has been very very good this year. He’s forced Max into a mistake twice and gotten his elbows out against in a very ‘Max Verstappen’ way. And the two best overtakes of the season were made by Oscar on Lewis which showed an extraordinary amount of skill

The “problem” with modern F1 is that aside from Rosberg the only 2 champions we have had for over a decade are 2 generations bests drivers in Hamilton and Verstappen Everyone subconsciously assumes that all champions needs to be at that level and then they get “disappointed” a guy like Piastri is winning Piastri has won half of all the races we have had this season and been on the podium for all but 2, and used the car he’s been given pretty well each weekend to a high level, there’s nothing to complain about

@spunkhoes @ctrt23 @ThiesK_F1 @F1Clapped @erwindeg Have you actually watched any races this year? Oscar has managed his tyres very well in every race. He took mediums 30 odd laps at Spa and put down two PBs just because he could on the final two laps. Lando is “faster” because he’s always behind and trying to catch up

@ctrt23 @ThiesK_F1 @F1Clapped @erwindeg He's better at tyre management but he still munches his way through tyres compared to others, that is clear. He is also still obviously slower in the races compared to lando, its not lots of time but if he's losing a tenth or so a lap, it adds up

@Benitos007 @mindofabsence @F1Tami Are you for real? The hate Lando gets from sky…Crofty can’t stop talking him up every chance he gets. Oscar drove a superb race and you’d think based on the broadcast you’d think the only reason he won was because of Landos mistakes. At least Brundle was somewhat impartial

Silverstone Oscar faster, makes a mistake. Lando wins. “Lando doesn’t deserve the win as he was slower” Spa Lando faster, makes a mistake. Oscar wins. “Oscar proves keeping a level head and not making mistakes is more important than being faster” Do people willingly choose to ignore the double standards or is their memory just that bad.

Great result today for you guys with a 1–2 finish — a strong response after the last race, especially from Norris. He needs to maintain this level to stay in contention, and Silverstone suits him well. Piastri was decent, but didn’t set the car up to properly challenge Norris and kept making the same mistake. Overall, a great team performance

@HugoandBob @frxRBb @McLarenF1 Ask me a question and then block me. Just shows how ridiculous your comment was. For the record no I don’t think Oscar is untouchable. But to say a driver that has won 50% of the races so far and had 8 straight podiums has been inconsistent is incredibly dumb. But you do you pal

@HugoandBob @frxRBb @McLarenF1 There was 23 points between them after Melbourne and Oscar clawed that back and is now out to a 22 point lead. How can you say he hasn’t maximised everything when he’s won 50% of the races so far and had 8 straight podiums. What a ridiculous comment

@GarlosCoden2 @Goyee07 @F1BigData I would agree. Verstappen is really the only driver who can keep up with the McLaren’s. Compared to the rest of the grid they have a rocket ship. Far and away better than any other car

@JBarbin10 @Goyee07 @F1BigData For sure, im just saying different tracks suited different cars differently, hasn’t been any universal experiences for any team. Like the McLaren is just consistently the best overall but wouldn’t say its been a “rocket ship” every single time imo
