Florida students deserve high-quality education, and great teachers deserve recognition and competitive pay. But time and again partisan school unions have shown that they do not act in the best interests of the teachers they purport to represent, let alone the best interests of students. Today, I was proud to sign legislation to hold unions accountable and to reward the educators who go above and beyond to inspire students across Florida.

If nothing else, the Louisiana v. Callais decision demonstrates just how much Democrat Party power in America has become an artificial construct. They gain power through counting illegals in the census, diluting election security rules, and forcing Red States to draw congressional districts solely on the basis of race. They have no ability to argue their positions on the merits, so they've built these pillars of power to rig the game. But now they're slowly coming to an end.

An event with officials has shots fired, and suddenly there’s a need for secure ballrooms, tightened security, and immediate action. Our kids have been getting shot at in classrooms for years, and all they get is thoughts and prayers. Funny how safety becomes urgent only when it’s powerful republicans at risk.
