Re-introducing "The Loki Exodus", now with brand new cover! A secret police officer from an authoritarian planet finds herself trapped on an inmate-run prison colony. How does she plan to escape? Incite a revolt, and hope she doesn't get caught in the crossfire. Link below👇

@johndrewmarkley It was also a huge contradiction of the brand they were trying to build up to that point. “Weird,” in simple terms, means “very different from the majority.” How can you push inclusion and diversity if you condemn someone just for being weird?

Was anyone convinced by it who wasn't already firmly pro-Harris? "Weird" is a matter of consensus. You can decree that social conservative beliefs are weird as much as you want, but that's just very obviously not true- they're common, mainstream opinions, for good or ill.

Every now and then I remember Tim Walz’s “they’re weird” campaign and how close the dems were to actually shifting the way people perceive the right in a very real way and then they just…stopped

@eigenrobot Better than ANH if it were novelized. Not that it sets the bar very high.

@TheCatholicEngr I think OP is responding to the specific phenomenon of women citing their career success as a reason men should be attracted to them. I don’t think he is assuming that women seek careers for that purpose.

One of the greatest evils of modern Leftists is their penchant for taking a benign or virtuous word and secretly redefining it to have a fundamentally different meaning. This practice means Leftists hide behind the virtue of a word’s common understanding as a veneer to disguise their truly evil intent. Nowhere is this practice more obvious than in the highly illusory term “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.” When a Leftist says these words, what they really mean is as follows: “Diversity” = rigorous homogeneity of thought and speech backed up by quotas. “Equity” = Marxism. “Inclusion” = exclusion of groups deemed undesirable.

My main problem with this is how utterly inoffensive it is. Whoever looks upon it believes that it's saying something about their opposition, and not themselves. It flatters people into believing *they* are the free thinkers in a world blinded by ideology, and nobody is ever forced to grapple with any complex issues or do any sort of soul searching. This is why Banksy isn't truly counter culture and is not dangerous or transgressive in any way. The art just reinforces whatever you already believe about yourself.

George Carlin infected Gen-X with this horrible apathy towards everything. The statue doesn’t just mock nationalism but belief itself. Any ideology, any group, any loyalty. It’s like they think they’re the first person to discover ideologies or positions all have tradeoffs, and because they’re not perfect it’s better to stand against them all. It’s as childish as it is false. A few minute conversation with anyone who puts on this front will quickly reveal which ideologies they feel are above such critiques. When exposed that John Stewart wry smile turns into the most vitriolic anger you’ve ever seen.

@politicalmath Weren't the Dixie Chicks blacklisted on radio stations following their comments about George Bush? This isn't anything new.

It's been fascinating to watch mainstream liberal culture slowly boil every human quality down to politics Is he the greatest guitarist of all time? "Well I can't answer that question until I see their tweets during Covid"
Robin Monotti@robinmonotti

Rolling Stone moved Eric Clapton down from the top 10 of greatest guitar players of all time to 35 because he admitted to being Covid "vaccine" injured & refused to discriminate on entry to his concerts based on "vaccine" status. They even admit the reasoning in the explanation!

Like all middle class millennials, I was tormented in school by the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, the unimaginably enormous trash island created specifically by my family's reckless and indifferent use and discarding of disposable and consumer plastics

Learning today that people genuinely have no idea that humans were a major factor in the extinction of hundreds of megafauna species before we even invented agriculture. Also, China is by far the most problematic overfisher today, not the white capitalists.

@firefly_actual @ChristianHeiens My problem with this argument all along has been that these people are surfaced because the most notable thing they ever did was celebrate Charlie's death. They were not leaders before. The leaders all condemned it. Both sides.

@MostlyMonkey I agree. 'The rest of the world' is actually my most extreme concern for this exercise. If it were just America, blues would win by a mile. But globally? I am much less certain.
