Dear Sadiq Khan,
I think some of the prejudice to do with 'singling out Muslims' is to to with their stated intention to kill 'infidels', expecially the bit about beheading them
You see, the other religions don't promise that

British values mean defending everyone’s right to practise their faith freely. In London, I’m proud Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims and others can celebrate in Trafalgar Square. Singling out Muslims isn’t ‘British values’ - it’s prejudice. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…

No legal basis. No clear objective. No exit. And much of Britain’s political class spent the week calling Starmer a coward for noticing.

Ever wondered where your tax money actually goes? 💷
@BBCNews broke it down by imagining we each handed the Government £100.
Here’s how that £100 was spent in 2023–24:
£22 → NHS
£6 → Defence
£10 → Education
£10 → Debt interest
£11.40 → State pensions
£4.15 → Working-age welfare (PIP, Universal Credit, health support)
£0.50 → Asylum system
£0.70 → Overseas aid
What strikes me most is this: immigration dominates headlines and public debate, consistently ranking as one of the nation’s top concerns — yet the asylum system accounts for just 0.5% of public spending.
A reminder that sometimes the loudest issues aren’t the largest ones.

@nfluk_tickets This would be great if the app would let you link to your eticketing account. So far, I've been unsuccessful in doing this, so am unable to access my tickets.

Found the information regarding using the OnePass app to access tickets.
Transferring tickets seems like a right hassle. Remember the days when you just gave the person a ticket, job done.

Yields hitting Truss levels does NOT mean the economy is crashing.
Anyone who says this doesn’t understand economics. I covered this stuff for years at Bloomberg.
Quick explainer that a child could understand: 🧵

Gilt rates are higher than they were in October 2022. Yet there is no media outcry or negative commentary from the @bankofengland. Britain's institutions are complicit in this huge economic failure.

“I thought for many years that in my lifetime I would see America become a rogue state and that’s happened”
Podcaster Gabriel Gatehouse expresses his shock after Presidents Trump and Zelensky's historic White House meeting, adding "this is a mafia shakedown".

Trump and Vance have declared themselves to be on Russia's side in the Russo-Ukraine war. This is a catastrophic mistake for America's national security. And let's be clear: Trump and Vance now personally own that policy. It is not the view of a majority of Americans of either or no political party.

Mafia boss in the Kremlin. Mafia boss in the White House … Europe has to stand up big time here. This is an epoch making moment. #StandWithZelensky

Generations of American patriots, from our revolution onward, have fought for the principles Zelenskyy is risking his life to defend. But today, Donald Trump and JD Vance attacked Zelenskyy and pressured him to surrender the freedom of his people to the KGB war criminal who invaded Ukraine. History will remember this day— when an American President and Vice President abandoned all we stand for.

Wow, Vance and Trump are attacking Zelenskyy in the Oval Office
