Supposedly the EWR and MHT routes haven't been performing well.

@SarcasmStardust Funeral director here, an obituary would be considered a "cash advance" item, and per the FTC, cannot be marked up without disclosure. they were (hopefully) charging the direct price the paper charged. Papers are getting worse. We just list all our obits for no charge online.

By the way, my brother told me something that blew my mind while we were at the viewing last night. He went with my grandpa to make all the arrangements. The guy at the funeral home wanted to charge him $750 to print the death announcement in two newspapers. Where my aunt lived and where the family is from/where the actual funeral will be held. What the actual fuck. No one even reads a goddamn newspaper anymore. They published it in the funeral home website and people shared it on social media and word of mouth. Luckily, my brother shut that shit down but that’s fucking nuts. No thank you.
