Thank you, Mr. President @POTUS, for this opportunity. It will be an honor to serve my country under your leadership. I am also very grateful to @SecDuffy, who skillfully oversees @NASA alongside his many other responsibilities. The support from the space-loving community has been overwhelming. I am not sure how I earned the trust of so many, but I will do everything I can to live up to those expectations. To the innovators building the orbital economy, to the scientists pursuing breakthrough discoveries and to dreamers across the world eager for a return to the Moon and the grand journey beyond--these are the most exciting times since the dawn of the space age-- and I truly believe the future we have all been waiting for will soon become reality. And to the best and brightest at NASA, and to all the commercial and international partners, we have an extraordinary responsibility--but the clock is running. The journey is never easy, but it is time to inspire the world once again to achieve the near-impossible--to undertake and accomplish big, bold endeavors in space...and when we do, we will make life better here at home and challenge the next generation to go even further. NASA will never be a caretaker of history--but will forever make history. Godspeed, President Donald J. Trump, and Godspeed NASA, as America leads the greatest adventure in human history 🇺🇸

@ostrovolt @Jukanlosreve Silly take, claiming Europe didn’t lose semiconductors because ASML’s the EUV king - let’s not pretend that crown isn’t hedl up by a hefty dose of US tech. Without those US lasers and optics, ASML’s machines would be paperweights.Europe’s a player, but it’s in Uncle Sam’s sandbox

@Jukanlosreve When the semiconductor industry can't run without a European company, ASML, it would be really foolish to say Europe lost semiconductors. Samsung, TSMC, and SK couldn't produce a single chip without Europe.

I wrote a piece today that’s not about technical or industrial analysis, but rather a look back at history. It’s also a topic I’ve been personally interested in for quite some time. Why did Europe lose semiconductors? open.substack.com/pub/semiconsam…

This is insane, my American friends. I have seen what the scourge of Islamic extremism has done to Nigeria. Do not let it take hold in the financial capital of the world.

Today at Masjid At-Taqwa, I had the pleasure of meeting with Imam Siraj Wahhaj, one of the nation’s foremost Muslim leaders and a pillar of the Bed-Stuy community for nearly half a century. I was also joined by CM @dr_yusefsalaam of Harlem. A beautiful Jummah.

Fact of the Day: The Mig21 bomber is the exact same size as a B52 fighter jet. Both were designed in 1926 by Prof Nottie Zactly-Trew who made them with one thing in common, the Mig21 can carry 7,175 tons of bombs and the B52 has a top speed of 7,175 Photographed from a Canberra

@eigenrobot Interesting but we have no clue what it means? Military leaders saying invasion attempt of Taiwan not feasible in 26-2027 timeframe and Xi politely disagreed by firing them?

This drone becomes a flying manipulator! 🥏 Researchers at the The University of Tokyo developed this aerial robot. Built with four pairs of ducted fans linked by actuated joints, Dragon can reshape itself mid-flight. This allows it to grasp objects and perform tasks typically reserved for ground-based manipulators. Each segment has dual rotors, and its navigation stack calculates the most efficient shape for each object. Total payload? More than 3 kilograms. P.S. To increase Dragon's battery life, they consider allowing it to walk on the ground.

The U.S. Army on Tuesday unveiled the Janus Program, a more than six year effort by the Army and the Pentagon’s Defense Innovation Unit with the goal of developing and constructing hundreds of state-of-the-art small nuclear reactors to power military bases across the United States, according to the Wall Street Journal. The reactors, dubbed microreactors by the Army, will generate less than 20 megawatts of electricity, enough to power a small town or base, and will be small enough to be transported by either ship or aircraft to remote military locations overseas, such as islands in the Pacific. Secretary of the Army Daniel P. Driscoll stated that they hope to have the first reactors operational at bases across the country by September 2028.

Duffy, today's test did not advance HLS goals by one iota. What it proved, again, is that NASA publicly financed the satellite deployment system for Musk's private second-rate third-party internet constellation - which is going to create more and more headaches for NASA as time rolls forward. Today's launch had absolutely nothing to do with HLS or Artemis. If you're going to pander to someone who's already almost two years past delivery of the Option A mandate of equipment on the Moon by January 2024, step down and let someone like Jim Free take the job.

Another major step toward landing Americans on the Moon’s south pole. The progress @SpaceX demonstrated with today's Starship test is critical for our Artemis missions. While we prepare for Artemis II, every flight strengthens our progress on Artemis III, and beating China back to the Moon! 🚀 🇺🇸
