@JakobFel @Pirat_Nation There used to be a good reason, but Phil Spencer fucked that up for everybody lol. Competitive integrity for PvP was king on console. PC full of cheaters. But crossplay is pretty much forced now so that's an L on the console side.

Recent leaks suggest Microsoft’s next-generation Xbox, codenamed Project Helix, could cost around $1,200 but still match the performance of a $2,000–$3,000 gaming PC. It is expected to use standard AMD RDNA 5 graphics chips inside the largest APU ever put in a console, the chip would be built on a 3-nanometer process. The new system is designed as a true hybrid, it would play native Xbox titles and full Windows PC games Microsoft has already confirmed it is working on this first-party console and called it an “order-of-magnitude” improvement over current hardware. If the details hold up, the console could blur the line between traditional consoles and high-end PCs.

@Ninja_Crash @Pirat_Nation If they do, it'd be on the console manufacturers for allowing that to happen. Neither Xbox nor Sony actually try innovating with their hardware anymore. Sony pushes the exclusivity nonsense, Xbox pushes their subscription slavery. It's a crap model, so I'd dance on the ashes.

Shuhei Yoshida, former head of PlayStation Studios, has shared his views on PC releases for PlayStation games. He said releasing new AAA games on PC from day one is not a good idea.
“If they were releasing new AAA games day one on other platforms, I don’t think that’s a good strategy for platform holder like PlayStation.” But he believes PC versions after a couple of years are helpful. 
“Releasing games on PC after a couple of years must have helped recoup the investment of these big budget games and help the team and company to reinvest that money into their new games.” Yoshida added that he sees no proof PlayStation is changing its current PC strategy or stopping PC versions.

@JaeGamez I agree with @ThaWinston1, the original game's combat was actually really good. That with some minor touch-ups would've been great. I'm still interested in playing this remake, it just won't be any time soon unless I happen to get a good deal on it, since I'm pretty broke lol

Ubisoft seem to be delivering EXACTLY what I wanted, combat in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced looks SOLID! Very AC Shadows coded, I’m impressed so far! What do you guys think about the combat, is it what you were hoping for??

@Str8Nirvana @Pirat_Nation The difference is that they're a PC developed by a company that appreciates and promotes the openness of PC. They can be upgraded as necessary, by the individual. There's literally no good reason to use a locked down console instead.

@JakobFel @Pirat_Nation Steam literally listed the specs lol It's going to be Weaker than a PS5 (which means an even bigger gap than a Series X) Little stronger than a Series S tbf But all those are about to be last gen consoles anyway.

@JackmoveJohnny If a console can't sell based on its own merits alone, it's not worth the buy. Console exclusivity screws everyone over except the console manufacturers and their fanboys. Let people play on the platform(s) they want to play on. Plus, abandoning PC is the worst mistake possible.

Xbox console sells basically died after they started putting games on PC. If you don't think that is a part of the issue, you're an idiot. However, it's a catch 22 because it did save them. Damned if they do damned if they don't. If they ever want their console to be a viable option ever again, the games will have to be exclusive to only the console. It's no way around it. They are putting a bandage on a gunshot wound at this point.

@RinoTheBouncer I hate to be "that guy" but I'm honestly not impressed. The graphics don't really look THAT much better, the parkour looks almost unchanged, the combat looks like it's adding soulslike parrying, I'm just not impressed. I'd rather new games in this style, personally.

@G27Status If they go back to exclusivity, they're just shooting themselves in the foot. Starfield on Playstation shows that console exclusivity is dying. Only console fanboys want that. The average gamer wants to play games on whatever platform they choose.

I never understood the complaints on the tone of the game back in the day!

Todd talks a lot about capturing mood and tone early in development, and I'd say Chorrol definitely stands as a good example of the mood and feel of Oblivion as a whole :)
