18,286 miles on Tesla FSD version 14.2 but I used to think I had the most miles in the world.

@DavidMoss No idea how I missed this! Sorry to hear this! For the longest I thought I had the most miles in the world (overall not 100%) until you burst on the scene and ever since then I have been so interested in others who have used it as much as I have. 18,286 miles, here's to more!

The record setting Tesla FSD intervention streak is over We made it so close to 13k at 12,961 miles (20,858KM) but rural Wisconsin roads + snow + weather in the teens was just a bit too much. No accident or anything big to note just found myself in a tricky situation where it was time to takeover. Safety over everything people! I will be posting the footage later today from the saved Dashcam clip. FSD 14.2 took me to 30 states & 7.5 weeks of driving without any human input whatsoever. That’s absolutely every part of the driving end to end for weeks on end. All I did was put in the navigation destination & press start self driving & it always took me to where I wanted to go.Pretty incredible & that’s before even talking about me being the first person to drive coast to coast fully autonomously with no interventions. All the support you guys have showed these past 2 months have meant the absolute world to me, I wish I could have the chance to thank you all in person someday. I appreciate it all very much. We aren’t going anywhere people, this streak may be over but the journey is just getting started.

@bballbreakdown @DrJimFan Check to make sure you're on version 14 of FSD or software 2025.45.5. if you're not, then it's a chance that you're still on a very old version like FSD 12 which I don't remember having hands-free.

So I've got it free for December. Half the time, I don't have to touch the wheel. But other times, it warns me to apply slight pressure, without a sound prompt. And sometimes it doesn't recognize I am putting force on it, giving me a strike and threatening to take away FSD if it happens a few more times... what am I missing?

I was very late to own a Tesla but among the earliest to try out FSD v14. It's perhaps the first time I experience an AI that passes the Physical Turing Test: after a long day at work, you press a button, lay back, and couldn't tell if a neural net or a human drove you home. Despite knowing exactly how robot learning works, I still find it magical watching the steering wheel turn by itself. First it feels surreal, next it becomes routine. Then, like the smartphone, taking it away actively hurts. This is how humanity gets rewired and glued to god-like technologies.

FSD about 98% of the time. With version 12.5.6 there are still some situations that it gets a little bit lost. I had one this morning when the sun was low and there were a lot of shadows it just gave up completely. But after a couple hundred miles of driving during the day, I only have to touch it once or twice.

99% of Earth has no idea. It’s like having a cat that looks semi-normal, but can actually sing and dance like Puss in Boots. Until you actually see it sing and dance, you won’t believe it.

I gave five people a drive in my Cybertruck and they were able to experience full self driving. It absolutely blew their mind and it’s insane that most of the world has no idea that this technology exists.

@akafaceUS @elonmusk The latest version 14 can do it all but the navigation will sometimes be wrong and you might have to take over if you don't want to go the wrong way. Other than that, if you take over it's just for personal preference. The car can do every thing you can do and better.

@elonmusk Serious question if you get a Tesla can you 100% autopilot it 100% of the time? or is there a lot of situations where u still have to manual drive?

@adamgryu Hi Adam! I see A Short Hike is opted-in for GeForce Now, but it's not live yet. It might be stuck in NVIDIA's testing because of the 'Press Z to Start' menu issue. Is there any way to poke them or update the build?

@elonmusk @Tesla FSD needs a user driven map layer. In DFW some roads changed three years ago and are still wrong. In Plano intersections have big humps FSD can’t see, so we have to take over. Nav tries Uturns instead of right turns too. Make it realtime too with police reports

@elonmusk @Tesla I run a limo service with Model Ys, and an aftermarket fridge is essential for clients. Now I need Camp Mode to keep it powered, which drains battery and disables Sentry Mode. A toggle to keep outlets on in any mode would be a huge help for my business!
