Asheville and Chattanooga are very similar and often compared, except for politics. Asheville is liberal, while Chattanooga leans conservative. Chattanooga is going through a massive renaissance and our best days are ahead.

@JamesCaperton @lets_truck Yes, you're correct, I used to get everyone to get it, but times have changed, and now there are many other companies with fuel cards that are just as good. Just think, I did all that for free, too.

Why would you pay full price? NASTC's fuel card has outstanding discounts. Better than some large carriers.

@lets_truck WEX has been advertising their “10-4” app on truckerpath , and I tried it out , it actually beat my NASTC acct by 15 cents the other day.

@FreightAlley Respectfully Craig 90% of gallons sold at truck stops are getting significant discounts even to smaller carriers. The bigger area is that larger carriers have more protections from contract freight with FSC than the majority of smaller carriers.

Wall Street investors have concluded that spiking oil prices will hurt truckers. It’s not that simple. In fact, the big carriers and brokers often make more money during periods of high fuel prices.

Non Domiciled CDL Rumors: 1. Insurance companies will stop insuring non domiciled or limited term drivers (as per several insurance agents) 2. Brokers will stop selling loads to those who have a non domiciled cdl or limited term cdl (as per several carriers sending a text to their drivers). Rumor or true? What do you think?

@adamlwingfield I work exclusively with small trucking companies. Most with less than 5 trucks have home address as primary address on Safer.

This is very important context for those who associate a residence with a small trucking company or owner operator. IRP requirements require you to validate a physical address and taking an additional expense of getting a small parcel of land to park/garage simply isn’t practical. Recently the registration process has started the weeding out process of virtual addresses but will take time. Proceed with caution when you red flag an owner operator for having a trucking company registered at his/her home. Every case of this isn’t fraudulent.
