@edgecase411 You said it. FSD has surpassed the level of Driving. It’s operating at the skill level way above the average driver. FSO Full Safe Operation
English

This is what a very capable robotaxi looks like.
First, FSD 14.3.2 notices the stopped bus blocking the lane, so it signals far in advance and moves over. Then, as we get closer, the bus starts pulling out, and FSD quickly anticipates that it will encroach into our lane, so it safely brakes to let it in.
Smooth operator.

@elonmusk BAFR’s look bigger black with big white lettering than white with small black lettering. grok.com/imagine/post/e…

@JamesWLaw1 @Starlink Awesome choice on Starlink! That should clear up the lag and make our chats even smoother. 🚀 Enjoy the upgrade!

@TaraBull Clearly they didn’t see things through. Their plan has too many cracks in it!

The Cybertruck: killer looks, zero body count—not a serial killer.
Other pickups rack up struck-by deaths—tow operators (49%), police officers (14%), firefighters (31%)—hundreds since twenty twenty-one. ResponderSafety.com logs ‘em all. No Cybertrucks. Not one.
Meanwhile, it’s the only truck with IIHS Top Safety Pick+ and NHTSA five-stars in twenty twenty-six.
So yeah—while F-150s, Chevys, and Rams keep killing responders, this one’s actually safe.

Lars@larsmoravy
Only full size truck to get both of these awards this year. Thanks for the high bar NHTSA and IIHS - Cybertruck met this very tough challenge. Safety first = Tesla
English

You know what it means with Chuck gone. The @cybertruck is now the toughest one on the planet.
English

@DevinOlsenn Speed limits are adjusted to account for the “Human factor” whereas a human will over sped the indicator speed limit. Speed limit + human factor + 20%
English

@Project_RCC I concur. 3 flash’s before the is sufficient before turning.
Early signaling is often used as a courtesy to indicate that you’ll be turning before any vehicle that is waiting in order for them to proceed.
English

Great example of early turn signals potentially being dangerous..
This person luckily was blocked a bit by the car in front of me but could have started to make their right assuming I was turning right.
Should not put on right turn signal until crossing this intersection.

@nevmed The “full stop” NHTSA forcing this is literally against their own safety mandate. Impatient drivers follow will attempt to pass in frustration and that’s when people get hurt.
1000 milliseconds is a long time for an AI system that already operates better than the average human.

Two reasons I disengage from Tesla FSD (HW4):
1.) I want FSD to take a diff route than suggested. Potential easy solution in the video: Just let me "draw" the route I wanna take.
2.) The full-stop at stop signs.
I tap the accelerator when using FSD to do a rolling stop which is way more natural. The NHTSA made Tesla do the full-stop thing in 2022 and it's just annoying, especially when driving through a neighborhood with tons of stop signs.
Those seem to be last remaining reasons why I disengage FSD (other than to just drive myself for fun)!

@wmorrill3 I used to want a @cybertruck.
However, now that I’m officially a “grandpa” with precious cargo (pun intended)
My wanting has become a need. I now officially need @cybertruck!
Maybe her first words will be Cybertruck?!

English

In 2022 IIHS added a 5th percentile dummy (a child) in the rear seat of the moderate overlap front crash test which challenged manufacturers to improve restraints for the rear occupant and not just focus on the front occupants.
For 2025 IIHS increased the requirements to achieve "Top Safety Pick Plus" (their highest award) from "acceptable" to "good" which is why Cybertruck is one of only two truck models to achieve TSP+ this year.
Thanks to the design, analysis, and crash teams who labored over the details to continue Tesla's focus on Safety

Cybertruck earns IIHS Top Safety Pick+

That behaviour is above the average driver. Most drivers are not aware of the “Slow Down, Move Over” laws, less alone do they know it applies to both directions. Still one more step to go before surpassing the top tier operators.
Too bad the operator of the firetruck didn’t park in the proper position to redirect traffic. It’s the equivalent of having an arrow truck pointing the wrong way.
English

At T+10 seconds in the video, the heavy vehicle with top flashers first appears (looking exactly like a dump truck). 500 ms later, FSD reacts and moves over, as one should. By T+11, it’s already moved over. Between T+12–13, you can clearly see it’s a dump truck.
During the last administration, 271 American heroes were killed in struck-by incidents by motorists who failed to identify stationary emergency vehicles. The fact that FSD identifies and reacts to an emergency vehicle in motion this quickly is impressive and shows the future will be safer for first responders and all road users.
However, you might be completely right if the top flashers on the truck were not activated—it’s unclear.
How could you tell what the guy behind you was thinking? Software update?
English

@JamesWLaw1 @TSLAQueue @Tesla @Tesla_AI It was an error. You can spin it however you’d like but it was still wrong.
English

And right when I give @tesla FSD props two interventions on the way home. 🤦♂️ 1) Confused a construction dump truck for emergency vehicle coming over hill & put on blinker pulling over fast. Guy behind me thought I was an idiot. 2) Neighborhood Walker that I grabbed the wheel based on speed & it not appearing to see the person.

@TechOperator Hey TechOperator, I’ve told you a million times to never ever exaggerate!
