Absolutely disgraceful racism from @jkyleofficial on @TalkTV. As the camera zooms in on me and @DrHWazir on the picket line, he sneers that “a lot of them have come into this country to be doctors.” He based this solely on the colour of my skin. I was born in the UK. I studied and trained in the UK and I currently work as a doctor in the NHS. My grandfather fought for this country in WW2. This is racist, demeaning, and utterly unacceptable.

.@fletchjack explains that a shortage of radiologists in the north east means that a specific live saving strike treatment can't be provided, and yet the NHS is turning away 3,000 fully qualified doctors who want to be radiologists! How does this make sense?

Soldiers can’t strike. The police can’t strike. Neither should doctors. The next Conservative government will ban these strikes, for good.

Let’s give a warm welcome to @danfurmedge in his new role as VP of Education and Training @RCPhysicians.

@InvCoriolis @DoctorsVoteUK @HfNexttoplshf @RCPhysicians @danfurmedge @medicalmodelbri Nursing which is a medical profession which also requires years of training. Doctors really are punching down on anyone who isnt a doctor these days eh. Used to be they respected their colleagues. Changed times i guess

MPs get a 5% pay rise this month whilst resident doctors are being offered 3.5% and the government just scrapped thousands of training places that would have put more doctors into #NHS wards. This is why doctors are on strike & patients are standing with them ⬇️

'The government will not talk to us' -Chair of Resident Doctors Committee at the BMA, Dr @fletchjack 'Their committee has refused to meet me repeatedly' -@wesstreeting Pretty clear who I believe here.. Streeting’s record of spinning and dodging NHS issues speaks for itself

BBC: NHS waiting lists have dropped by around 30% from ca. 10M to 7.2M

In case we've all forgotten about the non-doctors being foisted upon us... What a disgraceful shambles.

The network DES PCN contract 2026/7 has been revised to remove PAs from seeing undifferentiated pts , it has also changed their title to ‘ physician assistant’ . GPs must also have regard to @rcgp and @NHSEngland guidance when employing PAs Will PAs now be brought into line?

High time the media informed the public that the gov is paying out £25-£75m a year to train PAs while earning more than Drs, & not studied medicine. Yet @wessstreeting @Keir_Starmer are cutting training placements for Drs. It's blatantly obvious they don't want pts to have Drs.

A trust already under CQC scrutiny. 8 doctors short. Known gaps ignored. Escalation rates refused to save money. Patients were put at risk on Good Friday as a deliberate choice. We are still awaiting a response.

That is I think the intention; an NHS in which care is predominantly delivered by non doctors. NHS leaders have literally said as much Which will lead to an increasingly expanding private sector - but only for those who can afford it. And mass exodus of doctors So the way the NHS is now being lead and run will inevitably lead to rather basic service provision for the majority, a 2-tier system and widening health inequalities - just what Bevan didn’t want. And the decline started with the Griffiths report commissioned by Thatcher. So it’s been an inexorable process which has been ongoing for more than 40 years. And which is now gathering pace @TheBMA
