Luke Weaver was incredibly thoughtful postgame talking about the mental side of this spiral. There’s no doubt this team is pressing to an extreme degree, which is the absolute worst thing you can do in baseball. Stopping it, though, is easier said than done.

The whole family went to a @Mets game today, as we do every year. We had a great time despite the awful team on the field (thanks David Stearns!). It’s a doubleheader but you couldn’t pay us to stay for the second game. The people who run this team do not deserve their fans.

Imagine breaking a closer with a postseason HR, watching him unravel on the Yankees, then choosing him over the best closer in baseball… while also shipping out the homegrown player who broke him. You can't make this kind of misery up #LGM

Devin Williams career was finished when Pete Alonso ended it. He went to the Yankees, got a centuries old hair policy change and proceeded to blow about 15 games in a month. He struck out some people in the 6th inning of a few playoff games and David Stearns was like I NEED HIM!!! #LGM
