Playing out from the back is sound, more often than not it opens up opportunities further up the pitch but fuck me, it’s a derby where you need to keep it tight early doors and frustrate them and you play a low percentage ball directly in front of your own goal. Brainless.

Just for a bit of balance, I love O’Nien and I’ll defend him until the cows come home, but you just don’t attempt something like that in a derby. Ellborg needed to take firmer control as well. Just a mess.

No, Pat Noonan did not duck out of the presser after two minutes (told you that was a rare, unique situation that surprised everyone). He said four games is too soon to be concerned about digging a hole in MLS play (I agree but still mindful it needed to be asked), and he said one game is not a reason to question the depth. More to come later. #FCCincy

@LaurelPfahler @sacyhac I think the game against Tigres is the one of the better and more complete games. Rotating 7 players changes chemistry and motivation. Focus was clearly on Thursday

@sacyhac Sorry but the defense had allowed two goals over six total games up to this point. I don’t think one really bad game suddenly means the defense is no good. Yes, scoring has been inconsistent (they did just score three goals against a good Tigres team) so that’s fair.

Need to figure out a dependable left flank. Ramirez/Chirila needs a tweak.
