Might of found the secret settings sauce for @CrimsonDesert_
Cinematic everything but use DLSS 4.0 Balanced and Ray Reconstruction on.
Basically looks native and very steady fps without frame gen. Averaging around 85 fps.
Really seems like this preset was made for RR.
Here're my day 1 Crimson Desert thoughts:
- If you're playing this game for the story, just don't (feels like background, and gameplay carries a game any day)
- Combat can be really fun, despite some jank that might trip you up
- Combat is VERY open as to how you wanna play, and this is ... FUN
- World looks fucking insane (waterfall dev had a fucking stroke though lol)
- Tons to do, shit to grind, upgrades to have, shit to buy/sell
- Puzzles are really dope so far
- Boss fights have a nice challenge with cool mechanics so far
- Starts off kinda rough/slow, with little things that can annoy you or make you feel anxious
- Many input discrepancies that make basic things tedious, annoying, or anti-QOL (such as weapon unsheathing, interacting, lantern stuff, sprinting/jumping, and other various inputs that are more annoying than they need to be)
Once you get through the initial phase, you get into a groove where the game gives off MMO solo chill vibes and adventure RPG vibes. You could spend all day doing absolutely nothing, or you could spend all day in combat.
Imo, the game def isn't a fail like some make it out to be. Just not true. But it's also not quite living up to its 10/10 expectations. It's somewhere in the middle, but it's very playable and a solid time after one day. Of course, any opinions can and will change. Cheers.
@JeremyPenter Only made it through the intro so far. Combat feels great, but takes a second to get used to. Visuals are a bit blurry at times, but wide shots seem to be a lot more clear. Music is incredible
@OhNoItsAlexx Korean slop gets pushed by bots and influencers.
American and Japanese developers get trashed by these same bots.
Since Crimson Desert is objectively trash, most people are starting to realize what’s going on.
"B-B-b-u-t Did You See the Steam Review Percentage Of Crimson Desert?!"
Stop looking at the number and start READING the reviews of a binary Like/Dislike Review system
@ridipidipdap@SmojiiTTV Those are my favorite messages in games. “Bro you’re trash, your loadout is trash, that class is trash” is such an ironic and funny response to losing.
@Pirat_Nation 505 Games and CDPR fighting over who can be more anti-consumer in 2026. Taking down mods that make people actually want to play your game is a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off
Cyberpunk VR modder Luke Ross has had his Patreon account suspended following a DMCA takedown notice from 505 Games, the publisher of Ghostrunner.
This comes shortly after an earlier DMCA from CD Projekt Red regarding his Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod, which violated their policy against monetizing fan content.
The second strike from 505 Games for the Ghostrunner VR mod triggered Patreon's rules, resulting in full suspension.
All access to over 40 VR mods has been removed, posts and downloads are unavailable, and billing is paused for at least one month.
Ross described it as the potential end of an era in communications to supporters, making mods inaccessible to avoid further claims. New subscriptions now provide only general support, with no access to content.
A lot of people asking why I'm doing a scav run on PvE so I want to explain.
I'm garbage. I got over confident because it's PvE. I'm broke. It's the only way I know.
@isthatbog It’s in the DVD, there’s like a big song compilation/karaoke thing they’re doing and Farquaad is singing “Staying Alive” in the dragon while holding a match
Is loot nerfed? #EscapefromTarkov
My own theory is that during
the wipe hype, or 1.0 hype
for around a month, they let you enjoy the loot.
But after a bit, casuals leave, only dedicated players stay and bsg nerfs the loot so they can extend the content consumption time for players.
What do you think? 🤔
Leave your opinions on the thread!
The images and clips are first week of the wipe or 1.0.
