@oliver_drk What metric, retard, would you find more helpful for a game that launched on a subscription service and sold exclusively on PC and a dying, distant third place console?

These announcements are great, and it's nice to know what is coming for the Fallout series. A few people have asked for my take on these. I still ping Fallout 5 for the late 2030s. With Bethesda's work on the Elder Scrolls VI, hopefully, it will be their main project and priority until it's released. I would wager that this will be within the next three years, opening up their main team for work on Fallout 5. The Fallout 76 DLC sounds cool on paper, but a lot of these types of things have been nothing more than enemy corridors with the paint of a new area thrown over them. The Pitt comes to mind. We will have to see what exactly they have in store, but personally, the idea of revisiting Raven Rock or establishing it as a base isn't super appealing. Something is just off-putting about Fallout 76 to me. While I always give Bethesda credit for improving on it since launch, it just doesn't hit the same for me as the other single-player entries in the series. I am very optimistic about the Obsidian Fallout title. A game that I think we could see within the next few years. Fallout: New Vegas was a breath of fresh air in the series, and many of the OG Fallout devs are still at Obsidian, with Josh Sawyer and John Gonzales being on the project. I look forward to what they have in store, as they were leads on New Vegas. Obsidian also houses Tim Cain, the creator of the series; Brian Menze, an artist from Fallout 2 who also worked on Fallout: New Vegas; and Leonard Boyarsky, one of the series' founding members. I truly believe Obsidian is going to knock it out of the park and deliver another absolute classic for the Fallout series. The fact that we will likely see it within the next few years is a huge plus while we wait for Fallout 5. Finally, the Fallout 3 & Fallout: New Vegas Remasters are finally confirmed to be in production. A very welcome announcement, as I feel, especially with Fallout 3, a remaster is sorely needed. I have heard rumblings that Bethesda will be working with Virtuos, as they did with the Oblivion Remaster, on these projects, so I would go into it expecting a very similar experience, for better or worse. I have heard that Bethesda has been trying to learn from Virtuos how they do their remasters so that Bethesda could do them in-house. Still, with the recent fast-tracking and shake-ups at Xbox and the studios under its umbrella, I expect the faster route of having Virtuos do them will take shape. This confirms a screenshot we saw from Virtuos that had a remade loading screen from Fallout: New Vegas, showcasing the words "Please Stand By." So that furthers my speculation that the talented team at Virtuos will be leading these projects as well. I have seen a lot of people talk about having trouble with the Oblivion remaster, citing game-breaking bugs, crashes, and an overall lack of optimization, with no support in sight from Bethesda. Perhaps we will see some fixes for Oblivion down the pipeline, but it makes sense that people are a bit wary of these remasters due to that past experience. Overall, I think we will be getting some good, solid releases, and I think it's very nice to see an actual roadmap. It has been a guessing game with Bethesda for a very long time now. All we can do is wait to see what is in store, but I have a feeling that the Obsidian Fallout game is going to steal the show. If they work with the Creation Engine 2 from Starfield and start with repurposed assets from Fallout 4, they can really start to build a world that I think we will all be happy to explore. Time will tell, but again, I am optimistic about the next game. The remasters we will be getting, with Fallout 3 likely dropping next year during the 30th Anniversary Celebration in Washington, D.C., as I am sure that will also correspond with season three of the Amazon series, date-wise.

@GameDebatersYT @pcgamer Fallout 3 won something like 50 GOTY awards… New Vegas did not (to say the least). It’s not a comparison. Only thing I heard was that a few Bethesda devs were a little put off that they get no credit for New Vegas despite contributing a lot to it.

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't think New Vegas is the only good Bethesda Fallout game (like F4 and F3 a lot)) and I don't think Todd is actually jealous of New Vegas' cultural status. I am more so alluding that it might've been a bit awkward for the devs of Fallout 3 to see (in the years post launch) New Vegas get so much positive attention vs Fallout 3.

@GameDebatersYT @pcgamer What success? It’s the worst selling and worst reviewed of the modern single player Fallout games. We just learned today that Todd has directed 2 games with a combined sales of 100 million but apparently he’s jealous of a mid game like New Vegas 🙄

@pcgamer Maybe not a 'grudge' but if you watch the NoClip documentary, there was definitely some awkwardness at Bethesda over New Vegas' success...

@FitCoach20 @noisycontrarian @Hribson The comparison was about how Tony was also upset that they didn’t even give him the opportunity to compete. It wasn’t really about age or who is better, you just don’t do things like that in the middle of a season, especially one that’s going great.

@JohnH0730 @noisycontrarian @Hribson You’re right! I remember. Don’t know about your comparison to Romo. Dak was a rookie. Young was already aging, wasting what everyone knew was a super talent. Romo had abilities ROOKIE Dak didn’t. Dak has since elevated himself to Romo’s level, but Romo + 2016 Zeke = who knows

Joe Montana reveals the 49ers wouldn't even let him compete for his job after winning 2 Super Bowls in a row “We had just won two Super Bowls in a row. We were when I left the game, we were still winning. And we were headed to three in a row. And I had one of the best statistical years of my career.” “And he wouldn't even let me compete for a job. And I said, 'Well, this is crazy. I know I can play. I know better than he is.' And I said, 'Just let me compete.' And he said, 'No.'” “So I said, 'Well, I'm not going to sit here on the bench. That's not how I pictured finishing my career.'”

@TKsMantis @jord_and301 4 is 11 years old, and will be even older when this game comes out. It would be essentially unprecedented for a brand new game to come out based on 15 year old tech. Not happening. Obsidian has faster turn out because they make simpler games. And maybe that’s what we’ll get…

@TKsMantis @jord_and301 They created it out of Fallout 3, a luxury not available now. After layoffs, Obsidian is now 1/3 to 1/2 the size of Bethesda, who themselves take 5 years to make these huge games. Either they are doing a different kind of game (I’m hoping) or there’s a lot more info to come.

@jord_and301 I am not a studio manager and know nothing about game development. From what I have seen, most studios have been trimmed to what they were number wise about 10 years ago. A team smaller than whats at Obsidian and Bethesda now created New Vegas.

@Every4yrz @JuiceHead33 These retards fantasized that Bethesda had Fallout ripped away from them like Suge Knight and Eazy-E, when in reality it was just Obsidian being sent to the Fallout mines after the disappointments of Outer Worlds 2 and Avowed.

@JuiceHead33 It’s kind of funny looking at all the videos/thumbnails that claimed with certainty that Bethesda just lost fallout 😱. I feel like it’s easily understood Bethesda would have creative control over the new fallout by obsidian (and all of fallout as well), just like with new Vegas.

@Won_Hunna @LeanandCuisine @JuiceHead33 This is all just a fantasy in your retarded skull. Obsidian doesn’t even have the manpower to make a Fallout game by themselves, and after cranking out consecutive flops all they are going to be allowed to do is be a support studio. No one trusts them to make anything.

@LeanandCuisine @JuiceHead33 Bethesda doesn't have a say. Todd said in past interviews that he didn't want to go outside with Fallout again. But Microsoft owns both teams and the IP now and they need a hit so they making them niggas get in the booth.

@FitCoach20 @noisycontrarian @Hribson You are leaving out that he was not “ready” in 1992 until November, when Young was already well on his way to the MVP award and way past any time to have a QB competition. Tony Romo felt the same as Joe did in 2016, but it is not practical to have a mid season QB competition.

@noisycontrarian @Hribson No, yall just can’t hear or remember. He says he had a great year in 90 and was on the way to another championship. When he was ready, which would have been 92, he didn’t get a chance. Young played great till he ran into America’s Team. Young was special, but Montana is the GOAT

@selwilson2 @Dejisco29 It kinda is, admittedly tangentially, as only basketball players (and the like) will generally be able to even consider “taking care of” a dozen or more family members. It certainly is a situation that wouldn’t have come about if it weren’t for basketball.

Charles Barkley says the best advice he ever got wasn’t about basketball or money. Charles Barkley: Grant Hill’s mom, rest in peace, gave me the best advice ever. Charles Barkley: We were at the ’96 Olympics, and I said, “Grant just signed the first $100 million contract in NBA history.” Charles Barkley: She said, “Sit your ass down, Charles. I’m going to give you some advice.” Charles Barkley: “Do not start taking care of your family and friends.” Charles Barkley: “Number one, they’re never going to stop, and it’s going to ruin all your relationships.” Charles Barkley: “Number two, no matter what you do for them, the first time you tell them no… they hate you.” Charles Barkley: I said, “What?” Charles Barkley: I had to learn that lesson the hard way. Charles Barkley: People I’d been giving money to… the first time I told them no, they were like, “No, no, no. We’re not friends anymore.”

@JamieMoranUK Difference is Xbox had competition… Sony currently has none. It was also on the eve of a new generation where big decisions on which side to choose were in the hands of the consumer. This time we’re at the end of a generation that Sony won years ago.

Asking for Change is not Toxic. Xbox went back on the DRM in 2013 because EVERYONE voiced their complaints. For change at PlayStation you need EVERYONE to ask questions, People, Bloggers, Journalists, big voices. Have a spine and don’t let them get away with yet another thing
