So we dump millions of American hides into our landfills while importing millions of hides from places like Australia and New Zealand. Between hides, bones, and offal, close to 50% of the weight of a slaughtered beef is wasted. Every bit of it has a purpose and a use. Every bit of it could benefit the meat processor and the rancher financially.
