ICYMI: Here's what went live on Flare this week: → FAssets v1.3 mainnet. One-tx FXRP minting from any CEX. → MXRPY. A new managed, multi-strategy XRP vault from @monarq_mgmt x @FalconXglobal on @upshift_fi. → FLR inflation cut to 3%. The next phase of XRPFi is shipping, and it continues next week.

i know we’re in a TVL business, but not every useful thing arrives as a 48h floodgate. v1.3 was never going to magically turn every CEX user into a DeFi native over a weekend. The point is simpler: this route exists now. CEX withdrawal → FXRP mint works without needing a bespoke CEX integration. that matters first for the partners keeping markets liquid - inventory, pool rebalancing, order books, liquidations, faster on/off-Flare flows. @0xthanos made this point well. before 'Start Earning' feels obvious to a user, the pipes underneath have to work for the people routing liquidity through them. the second part matters too: FXRP minting now uses standard XRPL behavior and collapses into a single tx. it respects what XRPL already does well instead of trying to reinvent the whole surface area around it. so yes, i think v1.3 is useful. maybe even beautiful for the engineering craft inside it. i once asked @j00sko how he keeps going day and night, still jumping on every new idea from the team or partners. he shrugged and said, 'it’s just so much fun.' Filip is a serious person. when he says fun, he means it seriously. Solving hard questions is fun. BUIDL is cringe. in it for the tech is dead language. but there is still something real in the build itself: cleaner flows, fewer assumptions, fewer ways for liquidity and users to get stuck, while staying secure and trust-minimized. that is the craft: practical, obsessive, unglamorous. the scaling endgame likely is one-click Start Earning. fintech-simple, interest-paid-daily, complexity hidden behind the button. but someone has to make the underlying route real first. Well said @SchwetyBigBags on that - v1.3 is a step. Every step counts. @FlareNetworks is dead serious about building the full path.

Based on the first 48h minting results after FAssets v1.3, it's clear: nobody was really "waiting" on this. Those who wanted to move their XRP from an exchange into DeFi already did it weeks/months ago. Convincing others to do it this way will be a slow slog — lots of education + strong APYs needed. The best way to onboard exchange users is from the exchange itself. As a CEX user, I'd much rather hit a simple "Start Earning" button than reserve a tag, withdraw, mint, research protocols, connect wallet, stake/lend, connect wallet, claim reward, connect wallet, etc. Remember your first time using SushiSwap? That nervous feeling? That's probably how most exchange users feel with this approach. But, it’s a step. And all steps help. New methods, new vaults, it all helps. Still bullish and still hopeful.

We are at a point where it’s pretty obvious to the Flare community that the FDC is an extremely powerful protocol for attestations. Yet outside our circles, most people still don’t really understand what it enables. One of the best ways to change that is simply creating more content around real use cases and what you can actually do with the protocol, including bringing Web2 data onchain in a verifiable way.

1.3 isn’t necessarily meant for retail, it’s meant for our partners that help support the eco to move on and off quickly. Whether it’s balancing pools, rebalancing inventory in the order books, being able to ingest larger liquidations. Specifically, there was an issue with Fireblocks that this solved. I do agree, meeting the user at the distribution outlet is arguably the most important part. We have a ton of stuff in the works for this.

@whale589 So FIP 16 is already live and implemented? I Thought that this burning and MEV would take a few months to implement into the network..

$FLR has been stuck in the kind of slow bleed that destroys most traders psychologically Not because the moves are violent But because the market slowly convinces everyone that nothing will ever happen again That’s what makes this chart interesting now Price spent years compressing lower while volatility completely disappeared And historically, those are the exact conditions where explosive moves tend to begin building quietly Right now there are three major reclaim zones overhead Target 1 → $0.038 Target 2 → $0.056 Target 3 → $0.090 The important thing here is not the targets themselves It’s the fact that the market has already absorbed an enormous amount of selling pressure over time Weak assets usually keep making fresh lows aggressively This one keeps stabilizing near exhaustion levels instead That changes the risk/reward profile completely Because once a long-term compression structure finally breaks upward, the move often happens much faster than people imagine Especially when almost nobody is positioned for it anymore The market spends months creating hopelessness Then suddenly starts moving before the crowd is emotionally ready to believe it

The new "operational utility era" + FIP.16 (implemented on April 24) seems to have blown the cobwebs out. Up 17.29% on the 30-day.

FLARE SURGES 12% AS PROTOCOL UNLOCKS NATIVE XRP LIQUIDITY @FlareNetworks officially launches FAssets v1.3, enabling $XRP holders to mint and redeem $FXRP using native XRPL destination tags. This protocol update utilizes $XRP escrow and multi-sig infrastructure to secure Core Vault operations while introducing diverse yield mechanics for participants. The Flare community is currently voting on the Firelight Phase 2 launch schedule for May or June 2026, with early voters eligible for $rFLR rewards. This integration ensures that $XRP can move seamlessly across decentralized environments while maintaining the same deterministic finality as on the native ledger. $FLR is up 24% in the past 7 days...

I'm happy to see this, but want our community to focus on the bigger picture with FIP 16: 1. Flare reduces the amount of new FLR entering the market by cutting annual inflation from 5% to 3% and reducing the yearly cap from 5B FLR to 3B FLR. 2. At the same time, more network activity starts to matter economically because fees from things like FDC requests, FAssets, Flare Smart Accounts, FCC, and eventually MEV can flow into FIRE. 3. FIRE’s job is to route that value back into the system through things like supply reduction, validator/staker support, dApp liquidity, asset issuer incentives, and ecosystem growth.

🔥FIP.16 is a game changer for $FLR token FIP.16 + FIRE is @FlareNetworks shift from emissions-first tokenomics to a true network revenue engine🔥 Activity from FAssets, data, Smart Accounts & network-positive MEV can be captured, routed, burned, or reinvested back into the ecosystem. That’s how value starts flowing back to $FLR ♻️📈 Not hype. Mechanics. The flywheel is turning. 🚀 🎧 WATCH VIDEO 👇

I’ve basically built a brand around saying the quiet part out loud. So here’s another one. The silence from @Ripple, #XRPCommunity leaders, and major influencers on what @FlareNetworks is bringing to $XRP is atrocious. FLR doesn’t “compete” with XRP. It gives XRP what it never had: unlimited programmable use cases, native DeFi access, and even the ability for XRPL transactions to control actions on Flare. But the legacy camps are so entrenched that saying this out loud feels like an admission. Because highlighting Flare means admitting XRP is vastly more capable with it than without it.

Destination tags are a bigger deal than people realize. With FAssets v1.3, XRP can move through familiar XRP payment rails, mint FXRP on Flare, and become usable in XRPFi. This changes how XRP enters DeFi. Full tutorial 👇 youtu.be/pNUpyeCtRUU

The inflation cut should start becoming noticeable pretty soon, around Monday. And thanks to FAssets v1.3, the path for XRP to enter Flare gets simpler, which means more XRP liquidity can move into XRPFi opportunities. Then we’ll see FIRE start to make the flywheel run in full motion. Lower inflation. More usage. More value routed back into the ecosystem. This year is going to be interesting.
