I walked a good distance yesterday and the sidewalks around the schools were clear but many, many homeowners were derelict and had not shoveled anything. I’m especially looking you, the owners of end units who did none of their corners.

@AshleySchapitl Have you considered that some of those homeowners might be elderly, disabled, injured, or just physically unable to shovel heavy ice? Not everyone has the ability or support to get it done, even if they want to.

@Rybread_26 @MayorBowser DC has never been accountable for people’s sidewalks and steps. Regardless of how you think things should be, there is a volunteer program in place to free disabled and elderly people from their homes that you could be a part of.
