@facebook What the heck are you guys doing? I'm getting more ads for porn on Facebook now than on pornsites. I also get ads for cocaine. Reporting gets a response that they follow guidelines. Can you explain who looked at a shaved spread vagina and thought it was in TOS?

@jroberts332 I don't think Whirl would be happy unless it was a theme going back in time breaking the rules in order to be a thing.

I don’t think I ever gave Whirl a theme. This track postdates Lost Light, so let’s bend the rules and say it’s the theme for Whirl-after-#25… if you think he deserves a happy ending (puts hand up) open.spotify.com/track/0EzsCvlW…

@RichardDawkins Cows, horses, pigs, dogs and roses experience eugenics while being kept in cages, pens on leashes and used by people. If this is how it “works” then the insinuation is it would “works” on people if we were slaves to...

It’s one thing to deplore eugenics on ideological, political, moral grounds. It’s quite another to conclude that it wouldn’t work in practice. Of course it would. It works for cows, horses, pigs, dogs & roses. Why on earth wouldn’t it work for humans? Facts ignore ideology.

@RichardDawkins Why are so many people obtusely misreading Mr Dawkins' tweet? He is always precise, and he is precise here. He is neither advocating nor condemning eugenics, but stating facts in order to clarify. At least that's what I see.

@facebook this is your response to a report on an ad featuring a woman snorting cocaine up her nose, offering 'safe party favours' in canada. Seeing as selling cocaine is illegal in Canada, and violates your policies, can you explain this in clear language?

@seanw_m Because incandescants use more power and therefore mean more burning of oil and the only reason oil/gas companies charge so much is because people won't stop burning oil/gas.

@facebook Sure, in Canada we can't see or link the Globe and Mail because ya'll aren't allowed to take Fake News money any more (and that's the real reason, admit it you cowards) and apparently you won't break THAT law, but selling drugs is fine? youtu.be/iaAZxXWN_k4

@Thats_wildddd @BlkMissFrizzle And what are they strapped to? 1) A massive heavy truck constructed of solid reinforced materials designed to take such pressures from oversized loads 2) Some guys lawn. The straps ain't the problem here.

@BlkMissFrizzle Hurricane straps work very well I've had to put them on bridges in construction and you'd be surprised how much they can actually withstand. That being said I've never been in a hurricane this big and I doubt they have piers in their yard going 15 feet in the ground.

@JM_Metrailler @jseninvest @kylejhutton I know it seems weird to Tories, but when you have a platform another party is opposed to on a fundamental level, they won't do what Tories want, especially with respect to calling elections. This isn't complicated, guys.

@JM_Metrailler @kylejhutton The NDP don't want the Tories--a party with a platform the NDP find to be awful--to decide when the election is. Wow, that was actually really simple logic. Huh.

@kylejhutton I know this is a shock to Tories, but when your party doesn't have a platform that another party can support, they're not going to work with you. It's really that simple. Have you tried not having a sucky platform?

@jk_rowling @SwipeWright Today on Twitter, a self-described women 'sometimes known as Robert Galbraith' is accusing someone else of gender swapping for some reason, and deciding that the best way to fight a defamation suit is to defame harder. We call this 'The Alex Jones.' Worked well for him, eh?

@FVR_Capital @PythiaR @SteveSaretsky If you want a functional market, but you call yields on investment 'costs', then you're a bad faith actor and we should NOT listen to you.

@PythiaR @SteveSaretsky If you want a functional market then rents must adj to market at expiration. That is not the world we live in. Given the policy constraints placed on LL’s I wouldn’t punish capital further. I urge you not to think of residential equity through the same lens as a levered HF

Easy to blame the investor, but Government stoked inflation, which caused interest rates to surge, then they capped rents well below the rate of inflation.
Mo Amir 🪬@vancolour

UPDATE: There will be a review of the policy that informed the decision by the Residential Tenancy Branch to approve a 23.5% rent increase on a tenant because of the landlord’s increased mortgage costs. #bcpoli I received this statement from B.C. Housing Minister @KahlonRav:

@PythiaR @FVR_Capital @SteveSaretsky How does the increase in price of something you already own qualify as a 'cost'? Isn't that called 'a yield on your investment' in honest circles?

Pythia Cap: Partially Conductive
That is already what has happened. Market rent inflation has been significantly above in place, landlords have paid for it with margin if they can’t get turnover. My point isn’t about the remedy, or what inputs into a functioning market should be. But one of them isn’t automatically subsidizing landlords with capital at risk at the expense of renters. The real solution is you get rid of development charges, fund the muni budget hole, and immediately lower new build costs and therefore rents by like 20%.

@FVR_Capital @PythiaR @SteveSaretsky Hold the phone. If you buy a house, and inflation causes the value of the house to increase 40%, then that means your yield is 40%. And when overall investment is less than 40%, that's called a profit.

@PythiaR @SteveSaretsky If everyone took your advice- and concluded not to invest in the residential sector - rents on unit turnover would skyrocket and living conditions would plummet for the average renter There has to be a more reasonable path. I’m not familiar with this particular RTB decision

@SteveSaretsky @PythiaR Crying about the rate of inflation when that rate of inflation is actually the increase in value of the investment in question is, however, dishonest.
