Americans are once again watching in horror as Trump’s lawless federal agents took another life - this time in Maine. We must seek accountability and justice and an end to this madness.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

@GovWhitmer Working class taxpayers shouldn't be forced to pay for "free" meals for the children of millionaires. It's crazy this even has to be said.

We want our teachers to do what they do best: help every kid in Michigan succeed.

That means investments in teacher development, classrooms where kids can stay focused with free meals and no phones, and a curriculum that’s proven to help students thrive.

Here in Michigan, we’ve made a simple promise: no child should have to learn on an empty stomach. That’s why in this year's budget, we're continuing to fund free breakfast and lunch for all 1.4 million public school students.

@JohnGalt500 it is a paperwork crime. a misdemeanor. do you seriously think that is worthy of being thrown in a prison camp with inhumane conditions, separated from your children, or murdered? if so, you would’ve made a good little Nazi.

Ambassador, we have always had a relationship of mutual respect despite political differences. The IDF has now clarified it was not a restricted zone and Israeli papers have confirmed this. Deputy Chief of Mission David Brownstein in our embassy did a superb job in getting us out. We are safe because of him. Please thank him. We obviously notified our Embassy and Israel's embassy about the trip given we were in constant touch with David. I hope sir you will work on bringing the extreme settlers who blockaded Americans to justice. Also, please visit Beit Sahour, a Christian majority town. They want to stage the Passion of Christ play but illegal settlers are blocking them from doing so even as they have American investors ready for the project. timesofisrael.com/us-lawmaker-de… jpost.com/israel-news/ar…
Ambassador Mike Huckabee@GovMikeHuckabee

The left-wing activist who set up this stunt says "The embassy is involved." That is NOT TRUE. We did NOT know a member of Congress was coming. We would have said don't go to restricted zone. As FACTS come out, it's not helping the desired narrative. Not "held at gunpoint."

CEOs of the largest companies in America make 281 times what the typical worker makes. Since 1978, pay for these CEOs has skyrocketed 1,094%. Typical worker pay? 26%. So no, your $5 coffee isn’t why you can’t afford rent.

Democratic Socialists like @aoc and @NYCMayor do not believe what Democratic Socialist countries throughout the world do. In fact it’s a stupid name for the party. They aren’t socialists. They believe in social democracy similar to Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. These countries are capitalists. They just realize that income disparity can’t keep getting greater without society helping those who can’t afford healthcare, childcare and retirement. They should rename themselves “social democrats.”

I absolutely agree with Rep. Ocasio-Cortez: Democrats must be unflinchingly pro-working-class. Voters need to be wary of corporate Democrats like Luke Bronin who are trying to move our party to the right.

I’ve seen a lot of discussion about New Jersey’s energy costs over the past several weeks, and I want to take a moment to set the record straight. First, I completely understand why people are frustrated and they have every right to be. We know that higher electric bills impact families, seniors on fixed incomes, and businesses across our state. I’ve heard those concerns directly from constituents, businesses, and community leaders, and addressing affordability has been one of my top priorities since taking office in January 2024. What I don’t agree with is the claim that nothing is being done or that today’s energy challenges can simply be blamed on one party, one Governor, or one decision. The truth is that these challenges have been building for years and these same challenges are happening in many states across the US. They involve our electric grid, transmission planning, growing energy demand, PJM’s capacity market, aging infrastructure, and the rapid growth of large energy users like data centers. There isn’t a single policy that created this problem, and there won’t be a single policy that solves it. What matters is whether we’re taking meaningful action now and we have the record to prove it. Of course, there is still more work to do, but we’re just getting started. Since Governor Sherrill took office, we’ve made significant progress: *A5188, my legislation, was signed into law to require additional state oversight before certain utility transmission projects can move forward, ensuring companies justify the need for these projects and evaluate cost-effective alternatives before passing costs on to ratepayers *A796 was signed into law to help ensure large data centers pay their fair share instead of shifting unnecessary energy costs onto New Jersey families and small businesses *A2757 was signed into law to strengthen oversight and coordination of our electric transmission system through regional planning *My Advanced Nuclear Feasibility Study (A5517) was signed into law to evaluate how next-generation nuclear technology can strengthen New Jersey’s energy future with reliable, around-the-clock, carbon-free power *We ended New Jersey’s 50-year nuclear moratorium through legislation I sponsored, allowing existing nuclear sites to pursue advanced nuclear technologies and positioning our state to expand reliable, in-state energy generation *Governor Sherrill signed executive orders focused on energy affordability, reviewing utility costs, and accelerating additional energy resources to strengthen our electric grid and improve long-term reliability *Today, Governor Sherrill signed the Power New Jersey Act, creating a process for New Jersey to procure advanced nuclear energy and directing the BPU to evaluate projects that can increase reliability, meet growing demand, create jobs, and help stabilize long-term energy costs Is our work finished? Absolutely not. I have some other ideas and bills that I’ve introduced and believe can further lower costs, improve reliability, expand energy generation, and hold utilities accountable. I’ll continue working with my colleagues in the legislature on both sides of the aisle because affordable, reliable energy shouldn’t be a partisan issue. It’s also worth remembering that many of us in the Legislature, including myself, have only been serving since 2024, and Governor Sherrill was sworn into office just this year. We inherited challenges that have been building for a long time, but we’re not standing still. We’re taking meaningful action, making long-term investments, and putting the policies in place that will strengthen New Jersey’s energy future. The people of New Jersey deserve affordable, reliable energy. I’ll continue fighting every day to make that a reality.
