Regime propagandists are casually making sweeping comparisons with the US Foreign Agents Registration Act of 1938 (FARA Act) forgetting that this act does not declare US citizens living abroad Foreigners. It targets US citizens hired by authoritarian regimes like UGANDA to lobby against sanctions. The law also helps on due diligence of non citizens and companies incorporated outside the US seeking state department funding #RejectSovereigntyBill

Committee meetings to consider views of stakeholders have not commenced, but the bill has already been put on today’s order paper for passing! I think what they say that God also wants the few good ones is true.. because the way we are stuck with thieves and murderers but the already scarce decent ones die in their prime!! I still can’t believe the lady that was very outspoken about injustices a few days ago is gone. I met her at the General Court Martial every time the NUP supporters were appearing. That time she had had an injury but she would come on clutches and later a walking stick, every time they were appearing. May your soul rest in eternal peace. These months have been very difficult for all of us, but even much more difficult for our President. Election rigged. Comrades abducted, tortured and others raped. His two Deputy Presidents among those abducted. The third one arrested and charged with terrorism. His Home attacked by the military. Forced to flee for his life. Home attacked again. Wife assaulted. Property vandalised. Items stolen. Edith Mufumbiro dead. Quickly followed by Hon. Hellen Nakimuli. Not able to physically say farewell to these, his beloved friends,because he is forced by circumstances not to be around. Not because he committed any offence, but because he dared challenge the Museveni regime. He and his family need our prayers. They need our support. Leading an organisation that is hounded left, right and center in such times isn't an easy task.
