Instead of fighting it long-term, they expanded elsewhere, in the United States. Today: ➡️They buy about 9% of all the milk produced in New York State. ➡️They process 1.6 billion pounds of milk per year in New York. ➡️They built the world’s largest yogurt plant in Idaho. ➡️They’re now building an even bigger one in Rome, New York (over 2 million square feet, 1,000+ jobs). That is the true cost of supply management.

🇨🇦🏅 Don Cherry — the longtime Coach’s Corner host — has officially received the King Charles III Coronation Medal, awarded in recognition of his contributions to Canada. The medal, sent “by command of The King,” honours Cherry’s decades of charitable work, support for troops and first responders, and role as a national figure in Canadian hockey culture. Cherry, who was dismissed from Hockey Night in Canada in 2019, joked that “someone in England must’ve missed what happened here.” He added this isn’t his first royal honour — he also received a medal from Queen Elizabeth II. Tonight, CBC French is airing a report on the Chinese-owned dairy processing plant in Ontario — Canada’s only baby formula facility — explaining why the price of baby formula has surged 129% since 2020. This is, I believe, the first time CBC French has even acknowledged the existence of the plant.

At my stepson's graduation from @queensu and there's no Canadian flag. No singing of "O Canada". Hamas enthusiasts screamed at students and their families as we came in, without consequence. We need to embrace civic patriotism in this country if we're not to lose it.
