Even as it admitted its first batch of MBBS students for the 2025–26 academic year, a medical college at #ESIC Model Hospital and PGIMSR, Basaidarapur, is operating without any professors in its 3 core pre-clinical departments—Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry. The medical college, ESIC Medical College and Hospital, opened in 2025 at the existing ESIC Model Hospital and Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Research as part of a national push by the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation to expand medical education and healthcare delivery across the country. @timesofindia

A big thank you to the city of Ahmedabad for allowing the Motwani Jadeja foundation to install our first MJ Art Prize sculpture by Sonal Ambani. The sculpture is interactive and installed right at the entrance of the Atal Bridge on Sabarmati Riverfront. Sonal is the first recipient of our art prize and will lead our effort in finding a second woman Artist recipient for 2026. The funny man in the picture is Hugo Weihe, ex head of Christie’s auction house for South Asian Art. He also led Saffron for a few years in Mumbai.. Hugo now helps the Motwani foundation and is the chief curator of the Motwani Jadeja Women’s Art Prize.

The risk is real, One survey found that 60% of those who relied on AI alone misjudged the seriousness of their symptoms, leading to delayed care and severe complications.
