Pope Leo says "Jesus told us, 'Blessed are the peacemakers,' but woe to those who manipulate religion in the very name of God for their own military, economic, or political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness..." But some people leave out the quote marks around "Blessed are the peacemakers" and are accusing the Pope of misquoting the Bible or making up Bible verses. Seriously. That's how bad this stuff is getting.

@Kocatholic @josephnollasj They are Catholics. There are all sorts of reasons why a Catholic might not hold all the Church’s teaching. A lot of Catholics are very badly catechised; it doesn’t follow that they are to blame for that.

No. They’re Catholics because of baptism. Democrat or Republican, if you are a baptized Catholic, then you’re Catholic. Doesn’t mean you’re perfect. It means you have been indelibly marked.

Also, baptism by sprinkling water on the head three times goes back to the Apostles. The Didache was lost for centuries. It was unknown at the time of the Reformation. It was rediscovered in 1873. Total Catholic victory.

Last night -after noticing how diligent I am with the rosary every night, with weekly mass, Sunday Mass, my morning and sometimes evening studies...he asked if I was happy. Or if I felt forced. The poor guy thought all of this was expected or needed to be Catholic. I assured him-this is what I want to do. As of now the only thing the father told me to do was go to mass and soak up everything the church has to offer. Classes start in August. This is research. It started off as research to combat those that use scripture for their own agenda and now it's research towards my conversion 🤷🏽‍♀️ I'm not stopping until I become Catholic or realize it's not for me. And then will most likely continue the research. Because something evil is out there. And it's getting bigger. Bolder.
