I’ve never seen this level of crashout in gaming before 😳 People are canceling PS Plus, saying no to the PS6, and my feed is full of posts criticizing both Playstation and the people who defend it. Yet Sony probably won’t care and will just continue with business as usual imo.

If you have to abandon your social media so your community managers don't have to deal with dozens of insults and threats because of the decisions you took then MAYBE, just maybe, it was a decision you shouldn't have taken in the first place

I want to clarify something: I'm not even a console gamer. The last console I owned was an Xbox 360. I've been on PC ever since, and yes, I've pirated plenty of games over the years. This decision doesn't directly affect me, but that doesn't mean I want it to happen. What's driving me insane is seeing PC gamers acting smug like they're somehow immune. "I only play on PC." "I've never cared about physical discs anyway." Congratulations. You think they stop with consoles? Game prices are going to keep climbing if consumers keep accepting every new price hike. Those collector's editions so many PC gamers drool over? Wait until physical media becomes a niche luxury and they're charging $1,000 because it's "exclusive." Wait until a storefront goes down, your account gets compromised, or a service shuts off and years of purchases become inaccessible. This isn't a console problem. It's a consumer problem. If companies learn they can charge more, give you less, and remove ownership entirely without meaningful pushback, they'll keep doing it everywhere.
