Over 3.5 million U.S. kids are now homeschooled. Ten years ago it was half that. What some call a trend, I call a migration.

This policy has never worked and never will work; 1) Women control the ability to have children, not men. 2) This policy doesn't just subsidise natives, but everyone. 3) It also prevents those people from saving a nest egg to have children, kind of hard to do when you don't have a home or funds saved. 4) Japans work culture prevents people from finding spouses and having children, the salaryman comes to mind and spending your entire waking life working, and the use of internet cafes whcih have been used to hide homelessness and the work focus. Effectively this is the Japanese government punishing its own men to support black and brown foreigners settling in their land.

CEOs of large corporations now make more than 350 times what the average worker earns. San Francisco’s Prop D will tax billion-dollar corporations that pay their CEOs outrageous salaries to fund essential services devastated by Donald Trump’s funding cuts. Vote yes on Prop D.

As a parent, I know how critical high-quality child care and early learning opportunities are for working families in Washington. Today I announced $56 million in grants to fund new facilities and renovation statewide. 74 early learning providers. 40 cities and 17 counties. 2,056 new child care spaces. I insisted that the Millionaires’ Tax provide significant relief for working families, including additional support for early learning. Thanks to the generosity of the Ballmer Group, we’re on track to provide early learning to thousands more kids over the next decade. With these grants, we are working to build more capacity — literally — for our child care and early learning providers.

🚨 California now has universal Pre-K.
