@LHS_HoopCoach @Anthony_Pugh2 Agreee but it may be a reason why people leave for opportunities with a little more money on the table and potentially opportunities to run youth camps with a healthy youth program.

Great high school coaches are quitting because they don’t want to deal with all the nonsense that has nothing to do with basketball.. hard to blame them

@LHS_HoopCoach @Anthony_Pugh2 100% agree but getting paid 50 cents an hour or less for a whole season and how many hate you have to wear, it’s just so underpaid

@BDonaldson5 @Anthony_Pugh2 It's never the money at the hs level..... it IS all that other stuff though. Not all of it happens everywhere, but when enough of them happen, everyone has a breaking point

@Anthony_Pugh2 Do you think money has anything to do with it? Getting $5,000-$6,000 to literally coach 10 months out of the year, be a mentor, father/mother figure, therapist, teacher, and develop the youth as well and be a part of it. Seems like pennies when the job is worth so much more IMO

I can't overstate how much our HS game lacks feel. So many kids are skilled. Hell a lot of them overtrain......but the lack of feel turns so many of these games into high speed bumper cars at the carnival

Wish we spent as much time celebrating student-athletes who choose to stay committed to their school as much as we celebrate/post about transfers. Not willing to accept the new norm in HS sports.

Cam Newton pointed out the trend of Coaches being fired then QBs finding new teams… Well that’s not happening on Baltimore. Lamar is there to stay. A large part of why Jesse Minter was hired is because Lamar Jackson has fallen short of the Super Bowl, but he took the job because Lamar is a future Hall of Fame signal caller! Lamar had to be better in that big moments. Minter has to improve the defense, & Eric DeCosta has to build a better supporting cast. Time is now! #LamarJackson

I’m told the after he received a technical foul during last night’s game against Providence, he called the officials, “r*tarded f*ggots.” The NCAA has audio and video of the incident that they are currently reviewing. UConn intends to appeal the charges.

@mar5hallhoops Sounds like he was on the floor for a lot of consecutive possessions while this was going on🤔.. otherwise, that's a heckuva trick to pull from the bench after getting pulled for the first unnecessary celebration.

Watched a high school game. And a player loves to celebrate after their team scores. In a close game after their team scores the other team came down and scored twice on the celebratory player and the third time drove right by the player. Get back and play defense.

At this point we have two options to save intercollegiate athletics. Congress gives the NCAA anti trust protections to make the old system work which is unfair to student athletes OR we have collective bargaining. The longer we wait, the more it costs everyone @A1Policy

This ALSO applies to the nerds on academic scholarship. You want a double standard. No surprise Coach. Always seeking the easy way.
