What's the issue with @NMC_IND? Why is the NMC targeting FMGs? There are frequent notices against FMGs, and now they are refusing compensation certificate for online classes and asking everyone to go 2-3year of internship. Why this notice is posted 1year later? Online classes has been conducted in India as well during covid in Govt & pvt institutions and later they compensated it too but why this step sisterly behavior with FMGs only? Questioning FMGs degrees even after passing FMGE puts finger on this system as well. Why are foreign medical graduates increasingly facing challenges? The National Medical Commission initially required a 2-year internship, but later introduced a 3-year internship. Now there are additional delays of 5-8 months by SMCs to initiate the internship. Many state councils are facing a shortage of internship seats. Recently, the DMC(@GirishTyagiDMC) and other councils have suggested allowing non-teaching hospitals to accommodate more FMGs, but the @NMC_IND response is still pending. Why do medical councils seem to enjoy making life difficult for FMGs? They keep changing the rules and stressing every FMGs out. Even GUJRAT is dragging its feet on @NMC_IND guidelines! Why GUJRAT choose not to follow the NMC's guidelines, which suggest a one-year internship for students who returned to college and completed their missed classes. States like Rajasthan and Haryana were previously on a similar path, but they recently resolved the issue with their notice. We kindly request GMC to consider allowing a 1-year internship as well and release a clear guidelines on it to help FMGs further. Despite clear notices by @NMC_IND and the Honorable Supreme Court recently, many states are still not providing stipends to FMGs. This issue extends beyond stipends, as FMGs are also required to complete 2-3 years of internship.
