With insurance costs continuing to be a major concern across Florida, it’s clear this isn’t a short-term issue. It’s something families are dealing with every single month. If we want to keep Florida strong, we have to stay focused on stabilizing insurance markets and addressing the cost pressures people are feeling right now.

@Rep_Magaziner @RepMaxineWaters If you live in my town in Texas, you can graduate high school with an associate degree and then go to a major university as a junior. Many of these kids have Master’s degrees within four years. And very little debt.

No student with the grades, work ethic, and desire to go to college should be denied just because their families don’t have enough money. Along with @RepMaxineWaters I am leading 141 House members calling to double the size of the Pell Grant.

If schools want to keep their teachers, administration needs to get serious about behavior. This will have to include making moves like kicking the worst classroom offenders out of the school and disciplining kids with behavior plans at a rate congruent with their rate of offense. No excuses. No endless chances.
