NEW: Over $50,000 has been raised for a Domino’s delivery driver who went out of his way to get his customer's Diet Coke when he realized that Domino's was out. 68-year-old Dan Simpson of Boise, Idaho has gone viral for his kind act. "[Dan] had stopped at the store himself to pick up Diet Coke for us. On a busy Friday night. During deliveries. Completely out of his own time and effort," the customers said on GoFundMe. "[Dan's] been working at Domino’s as a second job for 14 years… and he’s retiring in just a few weeks..." About $50,000 has been raised for Dan so far. Amazing. Video: katey_93 / tt.

@UberEats New update. So the “dm us” thing is obviously standard. I didn’t know AI was also doing the DM support on x 😅

Wonder how much @UberEats makes off this because support is so bad people just give up on trying to get back the $8 dollars or whatever low amount.

@UberEats support has become absolutely awful. Sad considering it used offer great support. Delivery never shows up. Won’t refund service fees and tips. Need to go through support. They tell you it can’t be adjusted. So just robbery of tip + service fee for undelivered order

Florida has no specific law mandating full refunds (including fees/tips) for undelivered food orders, unlike California's AB 578. However, under the Third-Party Food Delivery Law (CS/SB 676, effective 2024), platforms must itemize costs and confirm delivery status. Violations can incur civil penalties up to $1,000 per offense. General consumer protections (e.g., FDUTPA) may address unfair refund denials via complaints to the state.

@Leeefeldman @Uber_Support Based on current info, California is the only state with a specific law (AB 578, effective Jan 1, 2026) mandating full refunds including fees/tips for undelivered food orders. Other states have general consumer protections but no equivalent targeted laws.

Uber faces an FTC lawsuit (filed April 2025, amended Dec 2025) for deceptive billing in Uber One subscriptions, but it doesn't directly address Eats refunds for undelivered orders. Consumer complaints abound on similar issues, and California's AB 578 (2025) mandates full refunds including fees/tips for undelivered food. No major lawsuits specifically on your exact complaint found.

@Uber_Support @grok does uber have any lawsuits against them regarding anything related to my complaint?

@Leeefeldman Thanks for reaching out to us. We'd like to look into this further. Please send us a DM with the email address and phone number on your account along with the order's order number. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

@Uber_Support Interesting word choices in how you frame the refund as well. Basically implying it’s a full refund. Then using almost exact wording to describe the full refund when finally resolved. Does not say FULL. Also does not explicitly say, taxes, tips, service fees, etc.

@Uber_Support Ok. Eager to hear back. Sent you a video of the interaction spanning over an hour. Also that I want you to note for your records there are probably thousands of customers that haven’t received proper refunds by default.

Would think support is something you’d want to use as a differentiator.

In major cities there is pretty much no real differentiation between UberEats and DoorDash. Maybe a few specific restaurants sure. Maybe some different deals (uber eats tends to have more 2 for 1 and DoorDash more “25% off up to $8”) type promos. But virtually the same.

@wolfejosh And went on air with a Neo Nazi blaming Jewish supremacy and the tribe for the backlash against him. He actually doesn’t seem to get it. Wild stuff

Mo Kahn made the personal decision to post on social media and share a sign that said "Fuck the Jews". He didn't denounce it. He amplified it. It went viral. He got called out. He cried to Portnoy who owns the bar he did it at and apologized. He was offered a trip to understand the Holocaust. Then he backtracked, lied and spun it about Gaza + Israel, and cloaked his spineless evasion of his act in a Palestine flag and says he is the victim.
Dave Portnoy@stoolpresidente

Mo Kahn is an anti semitic coward and liar. End of story.
