Willie Jackson this morning agrees with Seymour that it wasn’t a bribe.
“We got some great results from that fund, some of the best journalism I’ve ever seen .. and we hardly got an easy ride.. Winston’s gone down a conspiracy track”
David Seymour says his personal view was that it never impacted impartiality of the media and gives labour credit for stopping it before the election as they realised it was creating the wrong “perception”.

Ardern admitted at Joe Biden's ironically named "Democracy Summit" (Dec 2021) that she was funding media to produce stories that supported her govt's policies.
The $55 million was actually the smaller part. Before the PIJF, media received a $75 million "covid assistance package". Simultaneously she directed millions of dollars worth of govt advertising into their coffers.
No knowledgeable and rational person could ever believe that her benevolence (underpinned by taxpayer money) had no impact upon the way legacy "journalists", worried about their jobs, reported upon Ardern's govt.
To the universally despised and economically struggling NZ media, Ardern's election was as if they had won the biggest jackpot in NZ's history.

@NewYorkNixon I would be putting Pompey in the second row. Only have to shift him in one spot from centre. Maybe put a bit more bulk on him. Age is on his side

@AidanRodley Not really a punishment then is it, if they can pick what days to be suspended and still ride the big Saturday meets. The jocks you listed have all been around long enough to know the consequences. Gives lesser jocks a shot of getting a better ride

@MarkTramby @TheAndyRaymond It’s the biggest cop out of a reason. The warriors play in Sydney every 2-3 weeks. I’m sure the club would allow him to stay a day longer or whatever to see his parents if it meant keeping their best player.
English

@TheAndyRaymond Andy let’s be real here , homesick is really just code for “ I’ve got a shit load more $$$ contract, signed , sealed & delivered “
English

ADF is not leaving the Warriors without a 💯 guaranteed contract.
He’s not coming back to Sydney in hope of finding a club, he’s found it. It may well be on compassionate grounds, but he’s not risk taking here.
Who’s got him? 🤔 #nrl

@LOVERACINGNZ not liking the chances of racing at Te Aroha again today 🌧

@Sinesurfer @ClintVSmith He pretty much said his son isn’t smart enough to remember to turn his phone on after school 🤷🏼♂️
English

@ClintVSmith As you know Clint the policy applies DURING school and this situation is AFTER school.
That was a sad attempt at fear uncertainty and doubt even by your standard.
English

@ClintVSmith @camrynpetebrown So you think he’s clued up enough to have a phone at school but not enough to remember to turn it on?
English

@SSFCRABBITOHS What zone would that be? Been bloody disappointing lately

@winstonpeters Timber, coal, natural gas, oil. These are all things nz has and should be doing ourselves. Instead logs go overseas and come back as furniture, coal gets imported for power stations

The fact that Labour has announced a $2b renewable energy deal with BlackRock - an international company that invests in fossil fuels worldwide - shows the desperation and naivety of a globalist shill government.
BlackRock doesn’t want to make New Zealand or the world clean - they want profits and control.
Our country needs Nationalism with a capital “N” - that means putting our country first and making locally controlled infrastructure investment a priority.
We have the ability to finance this through the likes of our Superfund that would create assets for our country that will last decades into our future - and most importantly keep the profits for our people not overseas.
