@FEK666 @handyandy5566 @swinburne_mark The only issue then is that the ones needing upgrades were frankly too shit to move on for fees that allow us to buy upgrades + backup. We've always had to sell a purple each year - and we're paying for not doing it now.

Like Ashley where he took money / by proxy in terms of free advertisement. With him, we'd have never had the players to sell in the first place, never mind hold onto them 2/2

@geordie_yamyam We are trying to push payments across as many years as we can, rather than all up front so we can get more in. The issue that we have, specifically is that our fans make for easy clicks - so speculative journalism on us pays dividends.

These clubs are not linked as a parent / feeder club which would allow a free flow of staff / players. So it needs to be done properly.

@Nolberto099 @CharIieBennett Villa have had to sell a big player every year now for like the past 3 years. They didn't last year and got the biggest fine from UEFA prompting this years fire sale. So yeah, we need to sell to keep a consistent revenue over our limited commercial deals.

@LeonsHotArms @CharIieBennett Not really. That's not the way Aston Villa set up either. That's the two clubs with the most success. Also that's no true at all. The reason we had to sell Anderson is because no one bid the release clause for Bruno that ran out on the 30th June. That was the master plan.

Matthias Jaissle needs two seasons to rebuild this team. In the meantime, Newcastle must fix their off-field shortcomings. Eddie Howe had #NUFC running before they could walk. Resolve the stadium debate. Build the training ground. If they don’t, Newcastle will find themselves here again in 3/4 years. Frustrated at the financial rules and being picked off by the bigger clubs. We are in total reset territory.

@Nolberto099 @CharIieBennett Caused in part by not trying to get a trading model set up earlier. This was part of the issue around the PSR issues that caused us to lose Anderson, iirc Ashworth wanted to sell J7 and/or Bruno and Staverley veto'd it.

@LeonsHotArms @CharIieBennett We haven't got any big players left. We are relying on some of these inexperienced kids coming good. Also Ross Wilson doesn't really have much experience at this level. We are gambling at on average 30 million a player for kids that have no experience or very little. What a mess.

@mikepitt84 money, it's all about money. Just like us at work, we change jobs all the time for it - I can't understand why people can't relate to footballers wanting to do the same.
