My most controversial urbanist opinion is cycling is not a load bearing mode of transport. I’m not opposed to bike infra, build it whatever I respect the good intentions, it’s great for a couple of kms if it’s flat and the weather is nice. But you can’t build society around it.







I barely see Gaza on my feeds anymore. Within a week, it’s all but disappeared. The only accounts I see still talking about it are Palestinian journalists in Gaza, some Palestinian journalists here in the US and a few big accounts. And I have to seek it out. While Gaza is being ignored, the extermination is being accelerated.







@NYCCouncil just passed thoughtful amendments to #CityofYes for Housing. As modified, it enables 80K units while respecting neighborhood context, keeps every core component of the initial proposal, and ensures we create a little more housing in every neighborhood. Well done!
