Hearing your political idol tell you it’s Canada fire smoke and then turning off your critical thinking ability.
It was Canadian smoke. It can be- it will be again.
Americans currently blanketed by their own smoke from the PNW and California are still positing photos blaming Canada and calling it ‘Canadian smoke’, and celebrating Trumps threats against Canada.
About sums up 2026 so far.

This is not the same for the majority of the world’s largest biome in Canada. The taiga is a beast of remote wilderness and not accessible.

Sylvan has always drawn crowds from Edmonton and Calgary. That’s not new. It’s a busy and very overrated lake.

Canada is unrecognizable. Sylvain Lake, Alberta is devoid of IQ. 7,500 American citizens moved to Canada in 2025 120,000 Canadian Citizens left Canada forever. There is an exodus of IQ leaving Canada, plan accordingly.

I understand why the Canadians didn't invite American officials to the opening ceremony of the Gordie Howe International Bridge. The Canadians were being very unfair, but now President @realDonaldTrump has forced them to accept a much more fair deal.
Instead of keeping all of the income, Canada now has to pay America 50% of the profit - $300 million for our commerce - and give us a real say in future tolls. That's far better for American workers and Michigan families, and it is much more important than any ribbon cutting.

Look, another ‘copy and paste sound bite’.
We all agree that Canada has room to improve on issues like forest management, internal trade barriers, and some aspects of border security.
But calling Canada a “security threat” isn’t supported by the facts. Canada remains one of the U.S.’s closest security allies through NORAD, NATO, and Five Eyes.
The criticism from Trump and his administration also keeps shifting. At some point it’s fair to ask: is this really about border security, fire management, Chinese trade, or Canadian milk… or is it about ego.
Perhaps it’s about controlling the markets?
Or maybe it’s all a big distraction.

Loud, repeated opinions are not facts.
Canada isn’t an authoritarian state. It’s a constitutional democracy with free elections, an independent judiciary, and protected freedoms. We have freedom of expression, although it’s more limited than the U.S. First Amendment, not nonexistent.
Canada doesn’t operate on “Muslim values”, our laws are based on the Constitution, NOT any religion. And while governments can expropriate property in specific legal circumstances with due process and compensation, that’s true in virtually every democratic country. Do you have specific examples of this happening?
There are legitimate criticisms to make about Canada, but replacing facts with hyperbole doesn’t strengthen the argument, it weakens it.

Yes, Canada has high over-quota dairy tariffs on the books. But here’s the part that keeps getting left out:
They’ve never been triggered on U.S. milk under USMCA. Not once.
The U.S. gets a large tariff-free quota to sell dairy into Canada. Those quotas have never been filled, so the 200–300% over-quota tariffs have never actually been applied to U.S. exports. Even the U.S. dairy industry has acknowledged it has never come close to exceeding the quotas.
Canada is a country of just 41 million people. We simply don’t consume enough imported U.S. dairy to hit the quota limits. The “270% tariff on Canadian milk” talking point/ sound bite leaves out the most important fact: it has never actually been charged on U.S. exports.

Good questions. I’m not an economist so can’t speak to the full extent. But I imagine it is mainly to do with supply management protection. Tariff rate quotas are permitted under World Trade Organization rules and are used by many countries, including the United States, for products like sugar, dairy, and certain agricultural goods. The U.S. has trade quotas on Canada, also. With certain cheeses, milk powders, butter, and other dairy products. Canadian exports can enter at a low or zero tariff up to the quota, with higher tariffs applying above it. Removing the over quota tariff because it hasn’t been triggered would be like canceling your house insurance because your house hasn’t burned down. The policy exists in case circumstances change. (On both sides of the border and defined in the USMCA framework) The ultimate decision for the Canadian Government. Protect the dairy industries supply management in Canada, or remove quotas allowing non-Canadian dairy to entry the market in much higher numbers, possibly fracturing the Canadian dairy industry.
