@larissaphillip You’re not interested in other opinions. You’re repeating a lie about something that doesn’t exist in order to urge women to give up careers for having babies when they’re younger. Women are intelligent enough to make choices. Your narrative is as old as time and disingenuous.

I feel so disgusted with the generational vibe that told us that having kids wasn’t a priority and that being a mom was kind of a lesser path. Dealing right now with someone close to me who completely missed the life she should have had, which would have made her very happy— as a mom of a bunch of kids. She believed the social justice messages and made other choices. Materialistic superficial choices btw. She’s traveled extensively and has fancy appliances and a nice (huge, empty) house — and a bunch of social justice bona fides. She was misled. This isn’t someone who was always a bit salty and never wanted kids. She wanted them, but it seemed lame and selfish and not as important as her SJW pursuits. (Which amounted to what? Nothing. The whole thing was a vibe.) I have the same life advice.
Kristin M. Collier, MD@HSRdirector

this advice from @MattHennessey in @WSJFreeEx mirrors the advice I receive from my older patients. I routinely ask my older patients for life advice and repeatedly they tell me “have as many children as you can”

I was today years old when I learned that the term “Islamophobia” was developed in the 1990s by the Muslim Brotherhood and organisations close to them. Why? To copy the term “homophobia” so that criticism of Islamic ideology was stifled and silenced.

The report was commissioned and funded by the independent Runnymede Trust, a secular race-equality think-tank, & chaired by a Jewish academic, Gordon Conway). It deliberately framed Islamophobia as a form of racism even while using the word “unfounded” in its definition.

A more appropriate image for modern Britain would be a 14 year-old girl being drugged and raped by a dozen Pakistanis. We all know Banksy is an incisive social commentator. Looking forward to his version of that.

🇺🇸🧐 PREPARING A “BACKGROUND OF CHAOS” FOR NON-STANDARD DECISIONS… Honestly, I’m no longer surprised, but I still keep noticing patterns. Another “attack” on Trump happens — one that looks so convenient and timely that it doesn’t even require much conspiracy thinking — and almost immediately afterward we hear that the White House urgently needs a new, more secure grand ballroom. Not a shelter, not systemic security solutions, not a review of protocols — but specifically a ballroom. Symbolic to the point of being almost too obvious. And here, what matters is not whether the attack was real or not. What matters is how it is used. Because in modern politics, events have long ceased to be just events — they’ve become tools. If something happens, someone is already thinking about how to “sell” it properly. At the same time, a fresh cover from The Economist comes out, quite directly hinting that in the midterms on November 3, Republicans could lose both chambers of Congress. And that’s no joke — because it’s not just a political defeat, it’s a loss of control, influence, and the ability to shape the rules of the game for years to come. And this is where the puzzle starts coming together. When a politician weakens, they begin to be “strengthened.” Through fear, through the image of a victim, through drama. An old, familiar technique that has worked for decades. Because a person who has been “attacked” automatically gains a share of sympathy, even if they were criticized before. But there is another side to this story that is spoken about much more quietly. If you go into an election with a real risk of losing, there is always the temptation not just to win — but to “not lose.” And that’s a different logic. It’s a logic where the result can be questioned, the process delegitimized, and the elections themselves turned into a field for bargaining or conflict. And that’s why all these stories about “attacks,” threats, and extreme danger don’t look like coincidence, but like preparation of the background. Because against a backdrop of chaos, any non-standard decision begins to look less outrageous. I’m not saying this is a conspiracy. I’m saying this is a very convenient configuration of events for those who are not confident in the outcome. And you know what is most troubling in this whole story? Not Trump. Not the Republicans. Not even the elections themselves. What’s troubling is how easily society swallows these scenarios without even trying to figure out where the event ends and the staging begins.

US President Trump to have a "very frank and candid" conversation about NATO during his meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte later this afternoon, White House press secretary announced. "They were tested and they failed," Trump reportedly said, voicing his dissatisfaction with the stance of NATO allies on the war with Iran.

Yeah, I think it’s safe to say Trump is pissed off. I still can’t see Europe doing anything. They’ll end up just buying Russian oil or paying ten times the price to have someone else get it for them. They should really rename the continent Coward Land

@Locusmortiis @BritishArmy PzH2000 is way better... but costs way more. And yes, the AS90 was one of the best self-propelled howitzers when introduced... then the British Army never had the money to upgrade it.

First minute of this video shows an Archer howitzer being reloaded. The ammo truck carries a container with cheap, off-the-shelf solutions (racks, charge slide, projectile crane) to make reloading easy and quick. Yet the @BritishArmy was too broke to buy 14 of these ammo trucks.
