@Lanipator Just weren't exactly expecting a more realistic design approach, from a game serious that's been cartoony for decades, and hasn't done the realism thing since the very first game. But ya...just wait until they add Krystal...holy fuck the furry community is gonna go nuclear! 😅

I don't think I'm furry enough to understand why people hate the new Starfox designs so much.

@HissHitbox @CMCanidae You’re correct. It was originally a N64 game called Dinosaur Planet. There’s footage of the original game online right now, and the story was leaps and bounds better than Starfox Adventures ended up. Check it out when you get a chance. It was amazing.

It's pretty fun but I haven't replayed in ages to see how a lot of it has held up. It's basically a shooter on rails with some segments that let you fully fly in 3D and with secret paths to other levels. Starfox adventures wasn't my cup of tea but it wasn't a starfox game originally iirc.

Are Star Fox games genuinely good? Don’t say yes just because they’re furries.

It could be the translator doing the work I guess, but I think it’s more likely her telepathic abilities let her learn new languages pretty much instantly, or that she’s multi lingual.

@Scotty_224 @Prazkat @Edgemender Her backstory was never explored. All we got canonically was that her planet was destroyed and her parents were killed. There was more in the original DP plot, but we still never saw any details of the planet she came from. It wasn’t in the Lylat system though.

@Prazkat @Edgemender It was more than that. She lost all the charm that made her awesome in the first place. The cool versions of her are curious, compassionate, brave, mystical, and a little flirtatious. The Command Krystal was mean, shallow, impatient, and ugly.

@yoavdontmiss @madcap412 Zelda doesn’t own the concept of exploration and dungeon delving with magic and melee combat. The story, characters, and gameplay mechanics are unique. The biggest problem is that they didn’t include more of the original DP story. The original version was far better.

@AussieGamr @Destructo_Dude Who told them they wanted ANOTHER Starfox 64 remake? I know I didn’t. I said I wanted a Starfox Adventures remake with more DP story and lore elements involved, better integration of arwing sections, and Krystal as a main playable hero for at least half of the game.

@zedamex @TheHylian64 Yeah, but Starfox 64 is the more famous and respected one. It seems they had really polished up the game mechanics, appearance, and story for that game.

I’m gonna come out and say it. This Star Fox remake looks like an unmitigated disaster. They removed every semblance of identity and heart from the visual direction of the series. Imamura-san’s designs are gone in favor of horrific photorealistic ones. Extremely disappointed.

He just… governed. Meanwhile, Trump turns every security incident into a merch opportunity, a rallying cry, and a donation link. One man saw threats as part of the job. The other sees them as content. That tells you everything about their character.
