The last thing new parents should have to worry about is paying more for baby products because of the Trump Tariff Tax.
Young families deserve a president who cares about them.
@RepLauraGillen ICE agents just detained Brad Lander. Many wearing masks. Why are they allowed to wear masks?? Additionally, why are they allowed arrest or detain a United States citizen? Why don’t they stay in their lane?
The Administration’s decision to abruptly terminate legal status for Haitians who followed the rules and came here legally under humanitarian parole will rip #NY04 families apart and force people back into certain danger.
I will continue to advocate for Long Island’s Haitian community and urge the Administration to reverse course and protect our Haitian neighbors.

I was proud to lead a bipartisan group of colleagues alongside @RepTenney in urging that Iran completely halt enriching uranium and fully dismantle its nuclear program.
This week marks 100 days of Donald Trump's presidency
100 days of hell for American families
100 days of hell for our economy
100 days of hell for our democracy
@floridaborn0613@mtsand3@SenMullin@realDonaldTrump Tips are still taxable, Social Security is still taxable, SS is still taxed, the budget is not balanced. The tax cuts might be extended, but it’s not done yet.
@mtsand3@SenMullin@realDonaldTrump What stupid? Balancing the budget? Getting prices under control? Extending the tax cuts? What exactly is stupid with that?
99 days under @realDonaldTrump:
Secure border.
Lower costs.
Historic investments.
Huge deportation operation.
Energy dominance.
DEI is OVER in the military.
Protecting women's sports.
Historic govt transparency.
Bringing hostages home.
Promises made, promises KEPT! 🇺🇸
Grateful to be in Rome to honor the extraordinary life and legacy of Pope Francis, a faithful servant of God whose humility, courage, and compassion touched countless lives.
The Trump administration has implemented policies that affect federal funding streams supporting Meals on Wheels. Notably, a New York Times article from April 25, 2025, reports that the Administration for Community Living (ACL), a small agency under the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) responsible for overseeing programs like Meals on Wheels, is being dismantled. Approximately half of its staff has been laid off, and all 10 of its regional offices have been closed as part of an overhaul led by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. This restructuring has led to significant uncertainty and reported delays in federal funding for some Meals on Wheels programs, though funding may continue through September 2025, the end of the fiscal year, according to the article. That said I would really like to know what Gillibrand is going to do about this. I’m tired of getting information from her with no definitive plan of what is going to be done.
Just when you think this administration's cuts can't get any more unAmerican, they threaten the program that helps deliver food to our seniors. It's truly despicable.

@SenGillibrand They dismantled the agency overseeing it, not the program itself. Try reading even the text under the headline... My God, you people are unbelievable 😭

@SenGillibrand That’s not how it works…Meals On Wheels is a state and local government funded program. If it is experiencing cuts, it is by the state and local governments.

I joined my colleagues in signing a bipartisan letter urging @AGPamBondi to protect funding for the Office on Violence Against Women. 3 in 10 women have experienced physical violence, and cutting this program would have devastating consequences for the countless women who depend on it for safety and recovery.
@RepLauraGillen Yes, Laura what about the judge that was just arrested? What are you doing to protect our democracy. I’m so happy that you’re going to Italy, that’s really where I want my tax dollars spent.
So grateful to be part of the bipartisan Congressional Delegation traveling to Rome to represent the American people in honoring Pope Francis’ life and mourning the loss of a humble leader who dedicated his life to faith, education, and caring for the poor.
With the passing of His Holiness, the world has lost a great source of inspiration and compassion.
While this is an important issue, I do believe that as a nation we are facing larger crises. Lack of due process for immigrants, the tariffs, China taking our place in the global market because of our actions towards our allies, leaving the WHO, I could go on and on. I wish Congresswoman Gillian would take a more courageous stance on some of these issues or even talk about them. The prescreened questions at your recent Townhall were disappointment, you lack guts.
Reckless driving continues to kill thousands of people each year. This is not just a local issue, it is a national crisis. I will keep pushing for stronger measures that make our roads safer for every community.
Merwil Gutiérrez, a 19 year old who was legally in the US with a work visa and had no gang ties, no criminal history, and no tattoos was kidnapped by ICE and sent to the CECOT prison in El Salvador.
The ICE agents were even aware that the 19 year old was not the person they were looking for, but an ICE agent stated "take him anyway".
If he’s here illegally, he should be deported through due process back to his country. But being that he went through all the legal steps to enter the country, there is no need to send him to an back to his country. But being that he went through all the legal steps to enter the country, there is no need to send him to an El Salvadorian death camp.
Merwil Gutiérrez is the 19-year-old illegal Venezuelan we're supposed to feel sorry for because ICE deported him "wrongfully" even though he committed a laundry list of crimes beyond just invading the U.S., including:
- breaching the border with the help of the NGOs who were funding migrant caravans across the Darien Gap
- becoming "legal" via the now-discontinued CBP One app
- stealing a Social Security number via "legal help" (who provide SSNs to illegals by swiping them from American citizens)
- getting a job loading Temu and Shein orders (furthering the economic collapse of America by fueling the rotten dropshipping/turd world slave labor economy)
- committing tax evasion (the "job" was day laboring via a WhatsApp group among other illegals, paid in cash, enabling him to grift off of social services and charity)
- living in a slum studio in the Bronx with a dozen other illegals in violation of NYC housing ordinances (and contributing to the city's skyrocketing housing prices and cost-of-living crisis)
Screw this guy. Everything he did was illegal and/or made the lives of actual Americans worse. ICE should have sent his entire family to El Salvador and billed Venezuela for all the money they stole.
@RepLauraGillen What about fathers deported to an
El Salvadorian mega prison because of an “administrative error”. What about people deported without due process? Are you doing anything about that?
Violent criminals with no legal right to be here should be deported in accordance with the law.
Targeted enforcement coordinated by local authorities and federal agents against noncitizen gang leaders like Vargas-Escobar keeps Long Islanders safe. foxnews.com/us/alleged-ms-…
