He joined a support group for grieving mothers, seeking validation for his planned “stillbirth.” He even went so far as to rent a machine that simulated contractions, and a plastic “baby” he inserted into his rectum and then “gave birth to.” He also took hormones to induce lactation, and even tried to find someone who would let him “breast feed” their infant. Women who objected - women who had actually lost children - were evicted from the group so that this man could feel supported in his game of let’s pretend. Their very real grief was considered less important than this man’s fantasy. To top it all off, he did all of this in the house he still shared with his soon-to-be-ex-wife and their MINOR children. You have no idea how incredibly, dangerously sick some of your pals are, @alexhaedda.

@KeenanPeachy I always ask parents to leave for part of the visit from about 12 up. I never ask about gender but I do ask about safety at home and school, drugs, tobacco and alcohol use, whether they’ve been sexually active and talk about sensitive subjects like consent, safe sex etc.

My pediatrician actually kicked me out of the room to ask my teenage son if he was comfortable with his gender so I’m not too worried about the people who made those rules feeling sad right now
