Jeairamiya Dewray Omar-Dear, 17, of Brooklyn Park is in custody and charged with 2nd degree murder in the Dec. 23, 2025 fatal shooting at 16th an Thomas Ave N. Charges say Omar-Dear shot the 18-year-old decedent after he asked if Omar-Dear had been involved in an earlier shooting of persons on a Metro Transit bus. Omar-Dear is also charged by juvenile petition in the Dec. 19 Metro Transit shooting that injured three people. Casings found at both scenes were determined to be from the same gun found during a warrant search following the murder. Omar-Dear also has a juvenile conviction for 2nd degree attempted murder. He's being held on $1 million bail. THROW AWAY THE KEY.

The current pace of deportations is completely unacceptable. Deportations aren't supposed to be "NICE".
