Loneliness is the biggest startup opportunity nobody's talking about. 22% of Americans have less than one close friend. Three business models are already solving this. Here's the breakdown: Niche Digital Communities: - A Discord built around one specific game and one specific person - "Dads of Marathon" has 13,898 members. - Possibly more than the game itself. Matched IRL Experiences: - A personality test pairs you with 5-7 people, then you do something together - 222 sends you to dinners, cocktail bars, salsa nights, basketball games. - Real activities. Real people. Membership Clubhouses: - A physical space plus a calendar of curated gatherings - Fabric runs 75+ events a month across NYC and Chicago. - 500 members. Long wait list. Think: - Digital = niche + cooperative - IRL matched = personality + activity - Membership = space + recurring events A quarter of the country has no close friends. Someone's going to build the next one of these. Might as well be you.

I got back a whole box of memories from my streamer days. PAX badges dating back 2012, all my E3 badges (rip), old TwitchCon badges, random gaming events and parties. 🥲 Another lifetime.

@ericzakariasson Are you planning with it or just executing? Do you plan with 5.4 or opus 4.6?

iOS developers: How long is App Review taking for everyone these days? It is now taking longer to get our app approved than it is to build the actual features.

@PhilipJohnston @ycombinator I find the update writing process is really clarifying for me. Where are my successes, challenges, opportunities, assumptions, and real asks

Early-stage founders should send more investor updates. There, I said it. As a (very) small time angel I now see that maybe half of founders send regular updates, which suprised me a bit tbh. At the end of every @YCombinator batch they give a speech which is essentially: “Just don’t die.” Every founder has their own way of interpreting/internalising/actioning that, but mine is: “Religiously send an update at the start of every month.” I never skip and I’m never late. 100% of companies that die, stop sending updates at some point. Its simple to the point of stupidity really: If I’m still sending updates, I’m still alive. Also has some nice externalities like investors are more likely to be there for you when times are tough.

@levelsio @theworldlabs Would be a cool product to let people make these of their homes and then save those for the future when they want to go back

✨ Built my own Guassian Splat viewer for my app 🏡 Interior AI It takes splats generated from your interior with the @theworldlabs API so you can walk around them in 3d space It's starting to look much more real than when I added splats 6 months ago, great work 🌐 World Labs!
@levelsio@levelsio

✨ Okay last feature of the day in my 🌪️ tornado of shipping with Claude Code and --dangerously-skip-permissions Requested by someone on my feature board for interiorai.com: "Ability to use an inputted image as inspiration for the generation of the interior design in my rendered picture." Upload any custom style image from somewhere else, and a photo of your own interior and it redesigns it. It's just basic style transfer so not that interesting technologically, but useful If you select "Interior design" mode though it will also move around all the interior 😊👌
