𝐓𝐘𝐋𝐄𝐑 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘: $𝟐𝟓𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐈𝐍 𝐆𝐈𝐅𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐔𝐍𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐃 𝐓𝐒𝐀 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐀𝐓 𝐀𝐓𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐀 𝐀𝐈𝐑𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓 Here’s what happened: Perry walked into Hartsfield-Jackson — the 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 — and tried to hand cash directly to TSA officers who’d gone 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 during the DHS shutdown. Federal rules blocked him. 𝐎𝐧-𝐝𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐒𝐀 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐬. So Perry went home, worked with TSA brass to find a legal workaround, came back with 𝟐𝟓𝟎 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐭 $𝟏,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡, and handed them out personally. This is the same man who spent $𝟏.𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 helping Atlanta families cut off from SNAP benefits. This isn’t a photo op. It’s a pattern. One private citizen did more in a single afternoon than Congress accomplished in six weeks of posturing. That’s the contrast that should make every elected official uncomfortable. 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐝. It’s not just fucking Thune. At all. And frankly I’m goddamn sick of hearing just his name dragged out like some lone villain while the rest of the Senate Republican caucus slithers into the shadows. Every single fucking senator who refuses to stand up, cast the vote, and rip the gavel from his hands shares the blood on this betrayal. They know the rules cold...they’ve studied the filibuster’s chokehold, watched Reid and Schumer carve it open with surgical ruthlessness when it suited their side, and understand exactly how a simple majority could install new leadership tomorrow and force a talking filibuster or nuclear-option carve-outs to ram through the SAVE Act, border sovereignty, election integrity, and the rest of the Trump mandate. Yet they choose paralysis. This isn’t prudence. It’s a caucus-wide epidemic of institutional Stockholm syndrome fused with careerist gutlessness. These are men and women psychologically captured by the Senate club...addicted to the narcotic safety of committee gavels, “bipartisanship” theater, and the warm bath of never having to govern with the ferocity their voters demanded. They fear primary challenges, Twitter mobs, and the raw exercise of power far more than they fear failing the country. Vichy Republicans in bespoke suits, performing conservatism while the agenda suffocates under 60-vote theater they’re too cowardly to dismantle. Thune is the visible symptom. The disease is systemic rot...every last one of them who sits on their hands and lets it fester. They are not leaders. They are ornate obstacles. Name them all. Demand they act with lethal will, or watch them be replaced. The polite theater is over. The American people are done waiting and we are fucking pissed off. 💀🗡️⚖️
TraderJill (Leigh)@RealTraderJill

If they do neither then we are cooked. It won't just be Thune's fault. It will fall on the heads of ever cowardly senator who refuse to remove him and put in someone who will actually do something. You get that it's not just on Thune, right? If the other senators won't act to stop him, when they can, his inaction is their fault, too.

The Senate GOP has exactly two options if it wants to avoid drifting into irrelevance and a stunning loss in November: (1) Keep the filibuster and 60-vote cloture rule fully intact, but stand ready to overcome Senate Democrats’ unprecedented pattern of obstruction by aggressively enforcing the “talking filibuster”—a move that would require senators to work longer, harder hours and take fewer recesses, but lead to more thoughtful, careful deliberation in the legislative process, OR (2) Nuke the filibuster. I strongly prefer the first option. But we must choose either one or the other—because the status quo isn’t working and the resulting inertia isn’t just making it impossible to pursue a coherent agenda; it’s hurting the American people. What’s your preference?

Let’s summarize where we are after a 40+ day Democrat shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security. 1) ICE and CBP are funded, thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts and the foresight of President Trump and Republicans in Congress. 2) After holding DHS and the American people hostage for over 40 days, Dems got ZERO restrictions that would prevent ICE and CBP agents from doing their jobs safely. 3) Due to Dem obstruction of the appropriations process, ICE and CBP will get even more funding through budget reconciliation. 4) Dems have once again established themselves as the “Open Borders, Defund the Police” party heading into an election. 5) Dem leadership has proven once again they can’t be trusted to make a deal. Which begs the question if you’re a Dem senator or one of their left-wing supporters: What was this really all about?

Unfortunately some RINO establishment advisor duped @realDonaldTrump into supporting RINO @ChairmanGruters who is the laziest and most inept RNC chair in history . He’s worse the Ronna! It feels like Trump has too much his on his plate to tackle this but if he doesn’t , we’re in trouble in the mid terms and so is the rest of Trumps presidency .

🚨 HOLY SMOKES!! Speaker Johnson just told the Senate to SCREW OFF, he's NOT passing their DHS funding deal that leaves out ICE "This GAMBIT that was done last night is a JOKE! It CAN'T be that every Senate Republican read the language of this bill!" 🔥🔥🔥 Johnson then READS where the bill says ICE won't get funded "WE'RE NOT DOING THAT and it is unconscionable to me that the Democrats would force some sort of negotiation at 3 o'clock in the morning and try to hoist this upon the American people and then get on their JETS and GO HOME for their holiday and pretend and think that we're going to go along with that!" 🚨SECRET SERVICE SCOOP: New details about the agent who shot himself earlier today while accompanying Jill Biden to the Philly airport. The agent was apparently rushing and fumbling around after forgetting his cell phone in the SUV, sources told @RCPolitics. The agent was only one week on the job with the Jill Biden detail. He was in the SUV behind the one Biden was traveling in. He left to accompany Jill Biden through the airport, but soon realized he forgot his cell phone. The agent rushed back to get it, and his pistol fell out of the holster and was lying on the seat. He grabbed his pistol quickly and negligently fired it as he was trying to put it back in the holster. The agent shot his butt cheek. He went to the hospital where he is recovering and is expected to be released later today.

Here is why what John Thune did last night was so awful. Normally during a government shutdown you don't negotiate with the minority. It's "open the government and then we'll talk." John Thune signed off on the Dem demands and sent it to the house. Essentially, putting a gun to the House Republicans head forcing them to pass a bad bill. If the house rejects it, it becomes the GOP DHS shutdown. John Thune has betrayed the President, Republicans, and everyone who voted for Trump in 2024.

@RogerSeheult @Delta @SkyWestAirlines I was on that @Delta flight. It was NOT delayed for the crew. It was held for the daughter of the @SkyWestAirlines CEO. The guy behind me was kicked out of his upgraded seat so she could have it. Crew was frustrated. The captain was told he had to hold the flight. Unbelievable.

Hey @Delta @SkyWestAirlines my daughter is on dl4279 tonight from SLC to SGU and right after boarding the pilot came on and said “my boss told me that we have to wait 40 min for a passenger before we can take off.” That’s great that you can modify your operations based on the needs of your customers! I don’t know the circumstances but I’m sure you made the right decision. My question is when the rest of us have a similar situation can you direct us on how to communicate that to delta or sky west so that we can get the same great service? Take your time. I’ll be in the cell phone lot waiting.

Delaware pays more for energy than almost any state in the country because of a ridiculous green energy bill adding 35percent or higher fees to each monthly utility bill. The state does not have a right to change local zoning laws. capegazette.com/article/chance…
