Incorrect. People noticed the problem with Erika completely independent of Candace. Candace actually resisted saying anything bad about Erika at first while others were calling out the weirdness. Having Erika lie to her face is what finally flipped Candace to publicly say anything negative about Erika.

The viciousness towards Erika is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Just absolute psychopathic cruelty being casually exhibited by huge numbers of people on both sides of the aisle. Even if you don’t like Erika for some dumb reason, this treatment is still deranged and cartoonishly evil. There are women in public life who I despise but if their husbands were shot and they were left raising young children alone, I wouldn’t mock and bully them. I wouldn’t pretend that I suddenly like them either. I’d probably just keep my mouth shut. That is also an option. If you don’t like Erika, you could always just focus on something else, rather than putting your wickedness on display for the world to see.

I’m a therapist. Widows ABSOLUTELY do everything Erika has done here. We encourage grieving people to get out of the house, take advantage of distractions, and become active in a cause, especially one tied to their deceased loved one if it makes them feel empowered.
