Back in 2023 I thought the look and feel were pretty much final, but fortunately it kept evolving and now it looks a lot different! How many iterations of art have you gone through? #steam #indiegame #gamedev

@XRPee1983 I lived in CRT era and cannot disagree more. They were absolutely awful, they cause headaches due to flickering and are blurry as hell. Get OLED and use a CRT filter if you really want to simulate how it looked, but don't waste money on those ancient monstrocities. :)

A Chinese company has developed a flexible solar panel that can be directly adhered to rooftops, significantly simplifying installation. Solar energy is the future.

When I saw the first official visual from the God of War series… As a massive fan, there was no way I could stay passive. I had to create my own tribute to Kratos. Some legends aren’t watched. #GodOfWar They’re felt. 🔁 Share if Kratos is an icon to you 👇

@oldyzach Still have trauma from having a rocket explode near the entrance to my ship at the very start of a mission killing half my crew. The survivors panicked and some got mind controlled by the aliens soon after. :)

Another minigame incoming. This one inspired by Columns and an old Squigs game for Amiga. I will start releasing the games in March, for now still working on polishing the ones I have finished. #indiedev #gamedev For sfx I used my old rpg dice, they fit the glass cubes them well.

I will probably call the game Marble Lines - it is a minigame based on the classic Colored Lines idea. Work in progress. Music is one of my old tracks but it fits I think. #gamedev #indiedev Sorry for the quality, just recorded it from phone because I was in a bit of a hurry.

The Incredible Machine was a solo project by Kevin Ryan, published in 1993. He developed it in about nine months on a shoestring budget, and it became a surprise hit - both critically acclaimed and commercially successful, selling over 800,000 copies (an absurd number for a solo project). The core concept had players building complex chain-reaction machines using items like bowling balls, cats chasing mice, alligators, blimps, and dynamite to accomplish simple tasks, such as putting a ball in a box. There was always more than one solution, requiring creative and abstract thinking to predict actions and reactions. It was a perfect example of a game that relied heavily on ideas and concept, and less on polished graphics or fast-paced action.

OpenAI's new strategy: For Free Users: Ads. For Paid Users: Deletion of your favorite model (4o). What exactly are we paying for again? To be treated worse than an ad-supported demographic? We are paying $20/month for a degradable service. If you have time to monetize the free tier, you have time to listen to your paid tier. Don't ignore the 18,000. #Keep4o

We’re starting to roll out a test for ads in ChatGPT today to a subset of free and Go users in the U.S. Ads do not influence ChatGPT’s answers. Ads are labeled as sponsored and visually separate from the response. Our goal is to give everyone access to ChatGPT for free with fewer limits, while protecting the trust they place in it for important and personal tasks. openai.com/index/testing-…
