A year ago, our house caught fire. We lost everything. We had homeowners insurance through @Progressive, underwritten by Homesite Insurance Company of New York. We trusted them to help us rebuild. Here is what happened instead. The insurance company gave us a contractor through their claims process. That contractor missed THREE completion deadlines: • Deadline 1: December 2025 — missed, no explanation • Deadline 2: February 1, 2026 — missed with less than 24 hours notice on Feb 4, AFTER we had already hired movers, booked a babysitter, and boarded our dog • Deadline 3: February 14 — missed again, notified the afternoon before Each time, we scrambled. We moved our belongings into storage. We checked into a hotel. Our dog stayed at boarding. Our child’s life was turned upside down. Again. And again. And again. Then their sub contractor declared the house “good enough” and walked away and didn’t want to finish. The restoration company inspected and found: • No heat vents installed — the house has no safe working heat • Dangerous bathroom tile work in BOTH bathrooms that can cut you . • A suspected structural beam defect • All trim needs to be redone • Ceiling tiles don’t fit, wood was cut improperly • Doors hung incorrectly • Wrong light fixtures installed • Paint defects throughout The home is not safe to live in. This is not our opinion — it’s the professional assessment of the restoration company. So we asked our insurance company to continue paying our Additional Living Expenses (ALE) while the house gets fixed. This is coverage WE PAID FOR. Our policy has over $100,000 in unused ALE benefits sitting right there. Their response? Denied. Their reason? They said the delays are the contractor’s fault, not theirs — and that we should pursue the contractor ourselves. The contractor THEY gave to us. Let me say that again: the insurance company referred us to the contractor, the contractor failed, and now the insurance company says it’s not their problem. But here’s what their own policy actually says: “Payment will be for the shortest time required to repair or replace the damage.” Not the shortest time ESTIMATED. Not the shortest time the contractor SHOULD have taken. The shortest time REQUIRED. The repairs are not done. The house has no heat. The time required to repair the damage has not passed because the damage is not repaired. And it gets worse. The day we sent our formal request for continued ALE, our adjuster sent back an out-of-office reply saying he was unavailable for three days. We had spoken to him THE DAY BEFORE and he never mentioned it. When my wife called him out on it, he was suddenly available — and responded within minutes with a detailed denial letter he clearly had prepared. Out of office for training. But available to deny our claim. We have been displaced for over a year. We are living in a hotel. Our belongings are in storage. We have a child and a dog. We did everything right. We paid our premiums. We followed every instruction. We cooperated with every request. This is how @Progressive and Homesite Insurance Company of New York treat their customers. We are not asking for anything we didn’t pay for. We are asking them to honor the contract they sold us. If you’re considering @Progressive for homeowners insurance, please read this first. If you’ve had a similar experience, I want to hear from you. @ABORNEYNY @NYS_DFS @NYSenate @NYStateAG #ProgressiveInsurance #HomesiteInsurance #InsuranceDenied #BadFaithInsurance #InsuranceClaim #HomeownersInsurance #NYInsurance #ConsumerRights #InsuranceScam #FireDamage #DisplacedFamily #ALEDenial #InsuranceFraud #KnowYourPolicy #HoldThemAccountable #InsuranceNightmare #NewYork #ConsumerProtection #HomesiteInsuranceCompany #ClaimDenied

FYI - This was Patel’s old personal Gmail not his FBI account, not any official system. FBI already confirmed: the stuff is historical (mostly 2010-2019), contains zero government information, no classified material, no sources, no ops. Handala got some old vacation pics, a resume, and personal emails from a decade+ ago. They’re calling it a “win” because they have nothing real. 🥱 If this is the best Iran can do against the FBI Director, it’s actually pretty reassuring. They’re just mad and trolling for headlines. Definitely no story here….

🚨‼️ BREAKING: FBI Director Kash Patel's Gmail account was hacked by Iranian nation-state hackers. They have published his entire inbox, including mails on his home in India, private life, personal data, business dealings and travel history (Havana, Cuba!).

Hey, @FedEx, what is WRONG with your drivers? Why can’t they do their job? They just dropped these packages at my door, and didn’t even ring the bell! Oh, and ONE OF THE REQUIRED A SIGNATURE! I wasn’t even home when they left that one! Who signed for it???

Yeah… it actually did. @progressive social team escalated my claim to the Property Team once seeing my posting. One public post later? I got to speak to management rather than my adjuster and we now have a coverage until we’re safely back in our home. Social media doesn’t “magically fix” everything, but it does get your file put in front of eyes of people who can actually make decisions. That’s exactly what happened here. 🤷‍♂️ Huge thanks to the @progressive social team for the quick escalation. (And yes, when your house burns down… DM them. It works.) 😉

@progressive @MakersFG @progressive is this really going to fix his issue? That’s all he had to do the entire time, was to message you guys on X? When my house burns down, I’ll make sure to DM you, 🤡

I will keep you updated. Since this posting we have went to our adjuster being adamant about us being denied to an email from him doing a 180. We’re no longer denied BUT here’s a low ball offer… We wrote back denying his offer and we are now waiting for @progressive to do the right thing as our home is still inhabitable.

You’re not wrong. We did everything right. Paid every premium on time. Filed the claim properly. Cooperated with every request for over a year. And when we need our Additional Living Expenses coverage, they denied it by contradicting their own policy language. We have also been paying years into this like you and now we find out that @progressive does not want to be there for my family even though their policy (that they made us sign) says they would be there. You are so right..

@MakersFG @progressive Insurance is an absolute scam and needs to be either regulated extremely more heavily (not my first choice) or removed as a requirement. I could rebuilt my home entirely with the money I've paid my insurance company in 8 years. If I needed them? Not fucking likely.

President Trump monitored the situation overnight at Mar a Lago alongside members of his national security team. The President spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu by phone. Prior to the attacks, Secretary Rubio called all members of the gang of eight to provide congressional notification, and he was able to reach and brief seven of the eight members. The President and his national security team will continue to closely monitor the situation throughout the day.

Y'all realize these 92,600 beds are for Americans who oppose a pedophile stealing the midterms. Right? Obama and Biden didn't need these beds to deport *more* people than trump. These ICE detention centers aren't for immigrants. They are for US. Wake up.
CNBC-TV18@CNBCTV18News

U.S. ICE plans to spend $38.3 billion to boost detention capacity to 92,600 beds, a document reveals. The unit plans to buy 16 buildings and convert them into small-scale detention centres to expand custody capacity amid rising arrests. #CNBCTV18Digital #ICE #ImmigrationDetention #ICEBudget #BorderSecurity #Immigration #DetentionCenters #USImmigration
