1/ Fatherhood changes men biologically in ways that equip them to care for children. In 2014, neuroscientist Pilyoung Kim at Uni. of Denver showed that “fathers exhibit a shift in their neural structure...akin to that seen in mothers”. Moreover...

Very disappointed to see @CommissionerDA endorsing the breaking of court orders and despite the catchy names of ‘mums on the run’ should be title ‘child kidnappers’ I wonder would she suggest fathers go ‘on the run’ with their kids next contact time????
Dame Nicole Jacobs@CommissionerDA

I spoke to @BBCNews about horrifying new reports on the injustices faced by survivors of domestic abuse in the #FamilyCourts. All eyes are watching this issue. We need urgent reform. I look forward to working with @MoJGovUK who respond to my #FamilyCourt recommendations soon.

@natalyanderson @GenderParityUK You can’t permit one form of abuse to avoid another. Every allegation of alienation must be properly investigated. To just assume they are all false is absurd, unjust, and will lead to children losing parents AND wider family for no good reason.

@GenderParityUK There is a difference between dads not having contact and mothers and children being abused and killed. That is the reality.

Tomorrow on #BBCNews we investigate serious alleged failures inside our Family Courts. We report on mothers, victims of domestic abuse, who have died. We reveal children being forced into contact with Dads reported for abuse. And hear from Mums who have fled the UK.

@Pr1sonerBen Not saying it never happens but compared to abuse and femicide/infanticide perpetrated by fathers the figures are small.

bbc.co.uk/news/uk-665314… Very biased article from supposedly ‘impartial’ BBC on the issue of parental alienation; pretending it doesn’t exist except as a ‘tool of abusers’. No father’s perspective nor any from alienated children. Please do give feedback at bbc.co.uk/contact/compla…

@RorylLaing @CentreMalePsych Can you explain why we need to consider ‘whether’ this is the case? Isn’t it self evident? Is there not a huge body of academic research showing that both parents matter? Isn’t it a completely ridiculous proposal to try and quantify the value of parental love according to sex?!

@1Soloneo @Right2Equality Yes. But also important to consider it’s not always easy to get to the truth about what children want. They may say they want something under pressure from someone else. Also - what if we asked kids if they wanted to go to school, or eat their vegetables?!

@clarke4554 @Right2Equality So… should we just assume every allegation is true without bothering about annoying things like ‘proof’? Have a look at the statistics on who is most likely to commit infanticide, by the way!

@Right2Equality The problem is it too often can't be proven until mum and/or the children are murdered.

@ManKindInit And yet there’s no criticism of the police here, even though a man was jailed with presumably no evidence of any crime.

A horrific example of how false allegations of domestic abuse destroy the lives of men can be seen clearly in this case. 56 days wrongly in jail, being forced to flee and suicide ideation. Our thoughts are with the victim and hope he is getting support. grimsbytelegraph.co.uk/news/local-new…

We pretend dads have no value to avoid offending single mums. Then we’re surprised if they don’t “step up”. Why would you if you’ve internalised the message that dads aren’t important?

I thought the purpose of a court was to determine guilt or innocence. Perhaps the @LDNVictimsComm can inform us exactly how she would determine guilt or innocence.
Victims’ Commissioner for London@LDNVictimsComm

I have called on Government since 2015 to ban abusers cross examining their victims in the family courts. It is now in law in the DA Act so I will be asking Lord Bellamy and @MoJGovUK why it has not been fully implemented for all cases nor resourced properly.
