Holy shit. Ken Paxton bought a house with his current mistress in a gated community in Frisco on February 2, 2026. The $2,200,000 house was paid for in cash and the Trust is: 5 Harbour Town Living Trust. It’s all public data on denton county appraisal district. Where did he get the cash???

The skills to buy existing real estate are completely different from those needed to develop real estate. Go watch a contentious city council meeting and it becomes clear the best developers are like sudo politicians.

Kentucky mother hides a camera in her nonverbal autistic son's hair after suspecting he was being abused at elementary school. Tiphanee Lee says she suspected something was off when she received complaints about her son's behavior at school. Lee decided to take matters into her own hands and put a small camera in her son's dreads. When Lee reviewed the footage, she heard noises while her son's head moved around as a staff member accosted him. "While this was happening there was adults in the room who did nothing to stop it. This is unacceptable," Tiphanee said. The incident is reportedly under investigation.

Retrading gets a bad rap, but I’ve literally never taken down a deal without it (and simultaneously removing contingencies and closing a week or two later). Literally 95%+ of the people I know who are active retrade. Some ethically, some for sport. But they keep getting deals. No blacklisting. Why? They close on very hairy deals, with no financing contingencies, that 99% of you wouldn’t dare to touch.
Adam Zunder@Adam_Zunder

@seandsweeney In Los Angeles, very common. That won’t get you blacklisted.

I do not believe in re-trading on sellers in order to make more money. I have never done it before. I’m leaving a LOT of money on the table Am I an idiot here? I would rather make $0 on a deal and honor my contract.

News — Nearly 2-hour meeting with Acting AG Todd Blanche and Senate Republicans was incredibly hostile, per multiple attendees. As many as 25 GOP senators spoke (this is very rare for these meetings), all in opposition to weaponization fund. R’s pitched specific ideas such as dictating how the 5 commissioners are chosen & not allowing people convicted of violence against cops to be eligible for a payout.

Core US cities like Dallas can't compete with their suburbs on the suburbs' definition of success. It's too easy to work from home now. These cities need to double down on density and walkability, to provide a real alternative to what the suburbs offer. Give people choices!

The Dickies Arena. The Fort Worth Stockyards. The Star. Every major development in North Texas was a public-private partnership. In Frisco, the school district even put up $30 million of its own money toward the Cowboys' campus. Rex Glendenning has been brokering North Texas land since 1980 - and he says PPPs are what set this region apart from anywhere else in the country. In this clip from this week's episode - the financing tool Rex believes most of the country is sleeping on.

No, he's right on Taiwan. It's been Han Chinese since the 17th century, and is only a separate country because Henry Luce, the publishing titan of Time-Life and GOP red baiters like Tricky Dick Nixon, forced its recognition by Washington in 1949 when Chain Kai-shek lost the civil war with Mao fair and square and retreated to Formosa to escape the obliteration of what remained of the nationalist army. But America's homeland security was never implicated in saving Chaing's bacon. So Washington should have gotten the hell out of the Chinese civil war 77 years ago. The only reason we are still there is that the neocons, war-mongers and MIC (military industry complex) need a foreign "enemy" to justify Washington hideously bloated Warfare State and to make foreign arms sales by the MIC, to boot.
Republicans against Trump@RpsAgainstTrump

Trump clearly sold out Taiwan. When asked on Air Force One on the way back from China whether the U.S. would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion, Trump replied: “I don’t want to say. That question was asked to me today by President Xi. I said, ‘I don’t talk about it.’” Trump also said, “On Taiwan, President Xi feels very strongly about it.” It’s clear China got the green light to move ahead, especially now that the U.S. is bogged down in the Iran war. Under Trump, our allies can’t trust us, and our adversaries don’t fear us.

Trump on Taiwan: When you look at the odds, China is very, very powerful, big country. That's a very small island. Think of it, it's 59 miles away. We're 9500 miles away. That's a little bit of a difficult problem. Taiwan was developed because we had presidents that didn't know what the hell they were doing. They stole our chip industry.
